Practicing drawing on iPad once again lol

It's been quite a long time since I've drawn on my iPad pro. I have a Huion tablet that I mainly use for digital stuff so the iPad got stored somewhere and hasn't been used that much. I have forgotten it exists even haha but now since I am using it as a screen when filming makeup, I remembered how great it was drawing on the iPad while chilling on the sofa.

I recently bought a magnetic matte screen protector which is so great if you wanna draw something but also can be removed easily if you want the clear screen. Matte screen protectors have this effect of blurry or something which kinda reduces quality and clarity but drawing on glass without the matte is also not so comfy since it is quite slippery.

I also bought a metal tip for the Apple pencil so it will have a ballpoint pen feel which I'm not really worried about it scratching the screen since I will only use it with the screen protector installed. It's pretty nice though, I always hated the Apple tips since it feels like you're drawing with a jumbo unsharpened pencil.

@acidyo was watching something on TV and I was just trying the screen protector and the pen when he paused the TV and got up. Since the TV was paused with this lady on screen, I just decided to draw her haha. I took a pic of it as well so when Acid comes back he can play the TV and I can still draw.

It's also been a while since I practiced drawing so I'm rusty. I also drew mostly in black and white so it wasn't easy for me to pick the colors for skin tone.

Here is a closeup of the pen with the metal tip. It feels so much better cos you feel you have the precision when drawing.

Here is the result of the drawing. I think it took me 40 minutes or so. She looks more like Tiffany from White Chicks lol but it's okay since it's just a practice and I like the painterly style anyway. :D

Drawing random stuff on iPad really gets me into the mood of drawing which I've been wanting to get back to for a long time now. It's a good way for me to transition back while I also do my other interests like makeup and videogames. Honestly, doing the makeup + filming and photography really helped a lot with motivating me to draw again. There was so much unnecessary anxiety with drawing lol but I'm glad I'm not in the burnout anymore.

I'd like to do this more especially when I'm outside waiting for something or just sitting down instead of doom scrolling brain rot Instagram. Producing content more instead of consuming is better for me. :D

Very nice. I bought a drawing tablet but I still can't master it. For me it is easier to draw with mouse than with a pen.

Thanks!
I guess you have gotten used so much with mouse. I understand lol I was using mouse before too but yeah. With pens they have other features like tilt and pressure that you have to keep in mind as well. You'll get used to it at some point. :D

Perhaps I will get used to it at some point. For now I kinda wish that I had bought some Hive/ bitcoin with that money instead.😛

That smile, that damn smile🤣
