Boris Johnson has spoken to Zelensky on the phone 22 times since the start of the war, an average of once every six days. The conversations between them quickly became very cordial. Their last conversation took place an hour and a half after Johnson submitted his resignation. He assured Zelensky that the United Kingdom would continue to support the country in their fight against Russia and send them weapons, and that over the next few weeks, while he was still in power, he would personally take care of this.
According to Reuters sources, after each call from Zelensky, Johnson sent military attaches to other countries in search of the necessary weapons, preferably as close to the borders of Ukraine as possible.
