Drawing a cute kawaii burger (esp/eng)

Un saludo a todos. Tengo unos días con ganas de comer hamburguesas y como ese era mi pensamiento al momento de sentarme a dibujar, dije “bueno ¿por qué no?” y surgió el dibujo que deseo compartirles hoy, así que si te gustan las hamburguesas, los gatitos y las cosas tiernas y bonitas, sigue leyendo que te encantará mi dibujo de hamburguesita kawaii.

Comienzo con el boceto hecho a lápiz de grafito en mi cuaderno a rayas, como era todo un poco improvisado luego de un largo día, utilicé un solo lápiz, con el que había estado escribiendo todo el santo día. Primero, dibujé como una especie de balita, para dimensionar un poco lo que sería la altura de mi hamburguesa y posteriormente empecé a agregar los detalles, los panes, la lechuga, los tomates, el queso y la carne. Como es una hamburguesa kawaii, por supuesto debía llevar una linda carita y ya con todo esto listo, me pregunté “¿cómo se le verán unas orejitas de gato?” y ahí está, le van muy bien.

I start with the sketch made with graphite pencil in my lined notebook, as it was all a bit improvised after a long day, I used only one pencil, with which I had been writing all day. First, I drew a sort of a little ball, to size a little what would be the height of my hamburger and then I started to add the details, the buns, the lettuce, the tomatoes, the cheese and the meat. Since it is a kawaii hamburger, of course it had to have a cute little face and with all this ready, I asked myself “how will some cat ears look like” and there it is, they go very well.

Luego de tomarle una foto bien centrada, la importo a la aplicación Ibis Paint X en mi celular y doy inicio al line art en una capa en modo normal, para ello utilizo un pincel tipo pluma en color negro y repaso todos los trazos que había definido previamente con el lápiz en el cuaderno. Utilicé dos grosores diferentes, 19.6 para las áreas más amplias y 15.5 para detalles más pequeños. Además, aproveché de rellenar los ojitos de una vez con la herramienta de relleno en color negro.

After taking a well centered photo, I import it to the Ibis Paint X application on my cell phone and start the line art on a layer in normal mode, for this I use a pen brush in black color and go over all the strokes that I had previously defined with the pencil in the notebook. I used two different thicknesses, 19.6 for the larger areas and 15.5 for smaller details. In addition, I took the opportunity to fill the eyes at once with the fill tool in black color.

En una nueva capa en modo multiplicar, agrego los colores de cada área del dibujo, lo hago con la herramienta de relleno. Fui cuidadosa en utilizar un rojo más claro para las rodajas de tomate y uno más oscuro para la salsa.

In a new layer in multiply mode, I add the colors of each area of the drawing, I do it with the fill tool. I was careful to use a lighter red for the tomato slices and a darker one for the sauce.

Es momento del sombreado así que ocuparemos una nueva capa en modo multiplicar y el pincel aerógrafo, con el mismo, iremos seleccionando colores acordes a cada sección de la hamburguesa. Como siempre, tomé de referencia los colores base, pero en esta ocasión, para todos los colores utilicé tonos más oscuros que los de la base.

It's time for the shading so we will use a new layer in multiply mode and the airbrush, with it, we will select colors according to each section of the hamburger. As always, I took the base colors as a reference, but this time, for all the colors I used darker tones than the base.

En la siguiente capa (que debe estar en modo normal), haremos todo lo correspondiente a las luces, es decir las zonas altas de la figura y que la luz se refleja en ellas. Para esto utilicé una vez más el pincel aerógrafo y los colores deben ser más claros que los del color base correspondiente.

In the next layer (which must be in normal mode), we will do everything corresponding to the lights, that is to say the high areas of the figure and that the light is reflected on them. For this I used once again the airbrush and the colors should be lighter than the corresponding base color.

En una nueva capa he agregado el rubor, utilicé el estabilizador de pincel con la opción de trazar óvalos usando el pincel tipo rotulador y luego, con el pincel aerógrafo hice sombras y luces a cada uno. También creé una capa para detalles, en esta, con el pincel rotulador, hice el ajonjolí del pan superior y las partes claras del tomate, para este último detalle también usé la herramienta de difuminado para que quedara más integrado.

In a new layer I added the blush, I used the brush stabilizer with the option to draw ovals using the marker brush and then, with the airbrush I made shadows and highlights to each one. I also created a layer for details, in this one, with the marker brush, I made the sesame seed of the upper bread and the light parts of the tomato, for this last detail I also used the blur tool to make it more integrated.

Para agregar los toques de blanco que tanto me gustan requerí de una nueva capa en modo normal y del pincel tipo rotulador; así mismo, en una capa más, añadí un bonito fondo en azul con toques de fucsia que hice con el pincel aerógrafo, además de la sombra en el suelo bajo la hamburguesa con el pincel de acuarela y toques de blanco con el pincel rotulador.

To add the touches of white that I like so much I needed a new layer in normal mode and the marker brush; also, in one more layer, I added a nice background in blue with touches of fuchsia that I did with the airbrush, plus the shadow on the ground under the hamburger with the watercolor brush and touches of white with the marker brush.
