Sketching exercise: Leon

Hello friends,

Last five days I was taking part in Inktober and did few sketches to the topics for each day somehow looks like my followers did not like them because they sketches remained with minimal attention. Therefore, I decided to stop it and just go back to sketches of that what I like without any dictated topic.

When going back to drawing, that was something that I always wanted to do since I was a child. Maybe because my school friend was absolutely brilliant in drawing and she was only 7 years but everything she did was perfect, she had a talent. I never had time to do regular exercises because was too busy but now while starting posting sketches are only stuff that are supported here.

That was a reason why I grabbed my pen and pad and started doing some sketches. On one hand it is a motivation to use the free time for improving the skills.

This time, I decided to do the portrait of my favourite actor Jean Reno. When I think back, the first time I saw him in the movie Leon, of course, he was younger and his partner in movie was Natalie Portman. When I watched that movie first time I cried and I loved it so much. Both actors lived their role and for viewers we could feel of the emotion behind.

So here it is for your attention the process of my work:

This is perfect, not like my Jackie Chan drawing (only one person was able to recognize him and she wasn't sure 😂)

Unfortunately the source link does not show on Hive, so please source it again on Hive.

Hi @erika

Thank you.

Weldon @seeger, thanks for sharing.

I like the fact that you were able to cancel and start again. Someone said once that if you haven’t made a mistake before, that’s because you haven’t tried something new, or tried to improve on your self.

This drawing looks way better than what the other one would have looked like if you didn’t take the steps to start again.

Weldon

Thank you for your supportive words. You are right sometimes we get frustrated after our first attempt and often we just leave it. But I just thought why not another try. I am also glad that I decided to re-do it. On one hand I want to be better and hope that will help me.

You did great @seeger, Weldon

What a character... Excellent drawing, it brought back a lot of memories of this excellent actor!....

The drawings are nice though not perfect but the fact that you made series of mistakes and started all over again is a good example of how determined you are. Ride on boss. They are beautiful 😊😉
