Mother Nature (mixed media on paper)

in Sketchbook12 days ago

An happy Saturday to you all!
Yesterday I had a very busy day outside of my home. It was a warm day with a pale Sun on the sky over my area and so I did all the things I couldn't do during the past rainy days. We also met a couple of old friends of us who lives on a mountain close to my city and it was really a special time with them! At the end, I came back at home so tired, but really satisfied and full of new ideas and positive thoughts in my mind!
Today I'm here to share with you a new mixed media painting I finished to paint just this morning. It's a sort of "Mother Nature", one of my usual women in my own illustrative style with some doors on her body where different plants being born.
In the following pics, you can see the final result:

It's a mixed media (acrylic colors, oil colors and white ink) painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I use to do every time I paint something new, I took some pics while I was painted this artwork so you can see the process :

Soon I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom), hoping it will find a new home!

I hope you like it and I wish you a wonderful weekend!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia

Greetings Dear Silvia,

Oh...She's lovely...very creative and whimsical.

Thank you for the reblog...very kind of you.

We ordered the lady's frame today....Sweet! ...glass or no glass over it?

Wishing you and yours a happy weekend.^__^

Caio/Cheers!

Thanks, dear Bleujay! Glass or no glass over it? I don't know, but some of my collectors use to hang oil on canvas without glass because they love to watch the colors with no "filters", some others prefer add the glass to protect them. ^_^

Oh thank you for your kind reply dear Silvia,

Those two thoughts ran through my head...so I thought lets ask the artist...hehe. Of course as an artist...I was always taught never frame an oil...but this painting left bleujay undecided...I see I am not the only one. ^__^

For now, not under glass, however at least I know it is an option later and the artist will not be horrified. Smiles!

Happy Sunday,

Bleujay

This is a nice piece, very lovely and poetic. From this drawing one can write a whole poem. Well done.
