How I drew a family of tigers

in Sketchbook24 days ago

Hello to all my creative art loving friends! I hope you are doing well!
Lately I have rarely picked up brushes and paints. But finally I had the desire to draw. I chose a master class on drawing a mother (or father) of a tiger and a tiger cub.

I often draw according to the steps that artists show in free online drawing master classes. This is how I learn to acquire basic drawing skills. For now, I don’t set a goal to become a great artist, 😁 so this is quite enough for me. After all, drawing is one of my hobbies. 😀
So following the instructions, I first pick up a pencil. The task is to draw geometric shapes. Well, I can! 😅

The girl artist explained that first we will draw an adult tiger. For now, let our tiger cub be in the form of a rectangle 😅

Next we had a drawing lesson, more like a drawing lesson with a ruler, like in school. But despite this, the tiger is already beginning to appear. And I like it!

Then we leave our tiger and return to the rectangle: we will turn it into a tiger cub 😅

I try to draw as the girl artist shows in the video.

My tiger really looks like a tiger, but the tiger cub is completely different.

The girl artist reassured us all that our task at this stage is simply to make a sketch. Okay, I'll leave it as it is. Because next you need to dilute the white paint with water (I paint acrylic) and cover a sheet of paper so that barely noticeable pencil sketches remain. But before that, erase the extra pencil auxiliary lines with an eraser.

The first stage of drawing is completed: the paint on the sheet of paper must dry. Break from drawing. To be honest, I need a break too; It’s still not easy for me to measure all this with a ruler and draw. The second stage will be more fun since we will be painting tigers with paints. 😀 I hope I can do it!
