Hola de nuevo amigos! Saben hace un par de días me enteré por medio de una amiga la existencia de un concurso, el cual consiste en la creación de un logotipo para el nuevo juego Ragnarok, en un principio no me sentía muy segura, sin embargo leí nuevamente el post del concurso y se me ocurrió dibujar el siguiente logo, basándome en la descripción del juego.

Hello again friends! You know a couple of days ago I found out from a friend about a contest, which consists in creating a logo for the new game Ragnarok, at first I was not very sure, however I read again the contest post and I came up with the following logo, based on the description of the game.

En esencia el nombre del juego corresponde al del apocalipsis profetizado en la mitología nórdica en la que se librará una batalla entre dioses que acabaría con el universo conocido, sin embargo aunque el juego tome este nombre también participarán de el algunas otras mitologías de diferentes culturas, es por ello que incluí algunas armas que las representen.

In essence the name of the game corresponds to the apocalypse prophesied in Norse mythology in which a battle will be fought between gods that would end the known universe, however although the game takes this name will also participate in some other mythologies of different cultures, which is why I included some weapons that represent them.

El logo consiste de un escudo en forma circular, el cual está basado en imágenes correspondientes a las armaduras usadas por pueblos nórdicos a igual que el escudo el ha ha también sería una de las armas representativas del puedo germano, por su parte para incluir a la cultura y mitología romana una espada de largo talle, en cuanto a la mitología egipcia he dibujado un Kopesh, similar a una espada de filo curve, pero que su origen mas acertado seria un hacha y es con esta arma que suele ser representado el dios Anubis de la mitología Egipcia.

The logo consists of a circular shield, which is based on images corresponding to the armor used by Nordic peoples as well as the shield the ha ha would also be one of the representative weapons of the Germanic I can, for its part to include the Roman culture and mythology a long sword, as for the Egyptian mythology I have drawn a Kopesh, similar to a curved edge sword, but its origin would be more accurate an axe and it is with this weapon that is usually represented the god Anubis of Egyptian mythology.

La tipografía fue tomada de la siguiente dirección y la seleccione debido a la simplicidad en sus trazos, los cual poder asociado a algún tipo de escritura antigua algo desgastada, en principio pensé en colores ocres y marrones para colorearla, pero debido a que no hacía mucho contraste con el fondo opte por un color vinotinto, que puede ser asociado al derramamiento de sangre en medio de la profetizada batalla.

The typography was taken from the following address and I selected it due to the simplicity of its strokes, which can be associated to some kind of old writing something worn, at first I thought of ochre and brown colors to color it, but because it did not make much contrast with the background I opted for a vinotint color, which can be associated to the bloodshed in the middle of the prophesied battle.

Dibujé cada uno de los elementos por separados, lo que me permitió colorear de manera más organizada y cómoda cada uno de los elementos, de igual manera al tener cada pieza por separado me pude organizar más fácil la composición

I drew each one of the elements separately, which allowed me to color in a more organized and comfortable way each one of the elements, in the same way that having each piece separately I could organize the composition easier

Por ultimo dibuje un par de banderas o estandarte de guerra, para representar a las demás mitologías o razas que puedan participar de este juego, me pareció muy entretenido todo el proceso de creación de este logo, espero que sea de su agrado si tienen algún comentario o sugerencia acerca de este y sus elementos estaría muy feliz de leerlo, el área de diseño aun es un mar desconocido para mí, ¡Muchas gracias!

Finally I drew a couple of flags or war banner, to represent the other mythologies or races that may participate in this game, I found very entertaining the whole process of creating this logo, I hope you like it if you have any comments or suggestions about this and its elements I would be very happy to read it, the design area is still an unknown sea for me, Thank you very much!
