It's weekend again and I've done my weekly shopping. It rain halfway into the buying some food stuffs but I'm glad I could still buy the much I could.
I visited two separate markets:
- Abbatoir in Karu, and
- Nyanya market in Nyanya both in Abuja, Nigeria.
I bought only meat at the slaughter house and here are a few pictures;
I bought cow meat first
Then goat meat
By the time I was done it had already started drizzling so I entered bike to the next market, Nyanya market.
I used that drizzle to shop for the remaining food items. I tucked away my phone in the market to avoid rain from falling on it.
Immediately I got home I took pictures of all the foodstuffs I bought under the rain apart from the meat

That's a decent meat market there! We don't typically see it out in the open like that, with the whole part of the animal. It looks fresh, so that's nice!
Thank you. Our market is quite different from the usual market you see. It gets messy when it rains and one can't walk around.
The meat is fresh cause it was killed today. Surprisingly it will still finish today and tomorrow they'll kill another.
A person can slaughter 10 goats and another 5 cows in a day and it will finish that day.
The prices of those animals runs into millions of naira. What do you say??? Nothing because they're making their money legally.

Wow! Talk about fresh!!! I don't think it can get any fresher than that. Our stock houses do the main butchering here, although we have the middleman to go through. Unless you bring your own animal to the butcher and they will do it for you.
You really did a big shopping today and too bad it had to rain. I dislike shopping in the rain, but, this week, I did the exact same thing. I could never find a day when I had the time that I didn't get poured on. I guess it is just that time of year and it is good for the plants, although, not great for me!
