What a story 😁. It looks funny from where I stand, but I can feel your pain and would not be in your shoos. Unfortunately you're right and i fully agree with you. Teenagers speak a totally different language and use (or don't use) punctuation in a different way. However, not only them as I see the older generation misuse "!" a lot. Using "!" at the end of every sentence is exaggerating.
