I'm a direct dude in real life here, not so much, but yes, I did consider something like that went the soft option instead.
It was a really interesting experiment. Unfortunately it won't make any difference. I've spoken about it off chain with a few but in the end it will end up making no difference...Except to how I view (and vote) those who didn't do the the right thing by a new account, despite what they say they do for the community and new users.

I think I was always safe, I'm not the most engaged when it comes to comments, most of mine are quite short.
I think that's just me and comments in general thought.
I do at least acknowledge people who say more than 'great post'.

Sometimes engagement isn't possible for many reasons. At the moment, probably since last October, I've done a lot of it and it's possible for me to do so, but that may change at some stage. I get it, people get busy.
What I don't like...People presenting themselves as something but in reality being the opposite. I have a file in my noggin reserved for people like that.
I spoke with Asher and two others who knew what I was doing, and the account from which I was doing it and maybe if I did it again I'd involved him more (tracking stats) as if he has anything else to do! 🤔
