It's also worth it to be engaging as it's the relationships you form today that will pay dividends in the future, if they're nurtured. This is how I did it anyway, over the last three years.
Yes that is absolutely true. 10 hive feels like much and the relationships are don’t have such a clear reward. But long term it’s relationships that really build wealth on hive.
Exactly. It just takes time to develop. I get votes now, on every post, from relationships I built in the first few weeks of my time here. If I added them all up from an individual it would amount to a huge amount. The value of good relationships is huge. Imaging me for instance...You're building a relationship with me and over time if it develops, I'll vote you more and more. As my hive increases so does my vote and all of a sudden a little effort making the relationship with me starts to return you a good reward.
Building and nurturing relationships is the key. No one is going to hand you hive for free, it has to develop. I am a generous dude, but also one who needs to see effort. I never reward people without them having showed effort, even in the real world. The effort here is good posts, consistent and valid commenting and the right attitude towards hive.
The compounding effect of a relationship on hive is truly amazing. The results over a year are great, but when you start thinking about decades then it’s absolutely incredible.
And yes, free hive don’t exist and short term trying to game the system is only going to hurt your long term gains.
And that’s all without even thinking about the actual relationship that brings value to your life next to the added benefit of being rewarded with hive. The intangible value of relationship is the best part of it. It gives us a sense of belonging and comfort in this crazy busy world.
