Twitter can be a powerful promotion tool.

Where are we with Hive?

hive logo.png

A big problem that we have with #hive is that a lot of the content is aimed at people already within the eco-system. (Just like with this post, but it has a point.)

People are writing for votes instead of writing for consumption. Which is fine and there is an audience for it. It does get the most votes and a lot of the engagement but it won't help us to grow as a blogging site or as a token.

People will help us to grow.
People will bring more people and they will rise the token price.

It's a long term mentality but we are starting a whole new project and it's time for a better attitude than on the old one. We need to find and welcome new users and get them to spread the word as we grow organically. We need to think long term gain rather than short term profit.

I have said many times that growth on #hive is exponential. The more tokens that you can stake, the faster you will continue to grow. I also feel that it is true with users. The more users that we can lock into #hive the faster we will accumulate more and keep growing.

But just like with stake, if the users are abused and attacked we will lose them. They will be zeroed and leave the platform. That however is different post. The first thing is to bring them into #hive.

We will now be able to onboard large numbers of users quickly which was always a stumbling block of the old chain. When it got busy, it got blocked.

We will soon see instant messaging added into some of our favorite apps which was another problem we had for people to join. Discord was being used as a bridge for lack of communication of the chain but we will now have a solution for that too.

So where do we get all the new people?

The same place that you find everything.

The internet,

and luckily for us there are lots of potential users on Twitter.

Most new projects would have to spend years building up their brand and profile using extensive marketing and advertising campaigns but we are many steps ahead on this one. All of the big names in the industry already know who we are and have been actively tweeting about it for months.

With all of the controversy around the hardfork it's unlikely that any of the big names in crypto haven't at least heard about #hive if not been actively looking at it.

We have a massive amount of exposure and interest in #hive and a great chance to capitalize on it.

I have the account for https://twitter.com/hive_blockchain on twitter. A great handle that was just sitting there well after the hardfork. Couldn't pass it up.

Growth is exponential and with all the people looking at us right now it's the best time to take advantage and bring some into the eco-system. I've seen some very interesting new users join #hive lately and the good thing is that they are tweeting about it. That's the knock on effect we are looking for to keep growing.

It's great to see such an active presence on Twitter from our community and hopefully we can continue to use it to promote and advertise everything we are doing here. There are millions of people out there that we could onboard and it would only take a fraction of them to get this place thriving and entertaining again. People are the answer to a lot of our current issues as we grow and expand the use case of #hive.

There has been a lot of great work done to get us to this point but it will all have been in vain if we don't capitalize on the publicity that we have right now. The last thing we need is to fall back into the bad habits of the past and drive away good users with the mentality of keeping the place to ourselves.

More people add more value.

Some of the oldest stake holders have never seemed to understand this and been more focused on their own short term profits but hopefully we can do better this time and thrive. There is a much fresher and cleaner attitude on the chain since the split and I would love to see it stay that way.

Very nice....
And I often use Twitter to shout #hive for everyone and everyone.

Hopefully everyone does it.

The more users we have on twitter the better. It's a great way to get noticed and spread our writing around other communities.

Yes, I agree that ...

Yes, twitter has a large audience and exposure so to promote hive I think twitter is the best social platform for now to get more exposure...

I think your right on this @priyanarc.
It's where you will find a lot of the crypto community so if we want more users to join it's the best place to start. What we need now is more interesting content to draw them into hive and then hopefully to join themselves.

The least that we can do is share other peoples content and tweets to get them more exposure and help them to grow as well.

Good information for all hivers in the world 👏👏

Thanks. Sharing is huge, so the more hive users that share on twitter the better.
