First time in Hokkaido in forever (My Intro Post)

in OCDlast year

Hello Everybody! First of all I'm very excited to be here writing my own post after reading posts here and got so inspired by all. 😆 My name (or cybername here) is nomnomnoodle, which I can confirm that it's totally me. I'm such a foodie (especially noodle dishes) and also a girl who always has to find something to do (well both in and out of Thailand, my home), so I thought it'd be nice to share those with you guys here.

I'd start my first post with both #nomnomtraveller ✈️❤️ and #nomnomfoodie

My Family and I love love love taking our family trip to Japan. We've been to Japan many times before. Few reasons are that it's so easy to travel, the culture is amazing and most importantly (especially for my dad) the bathroom is the best and reliable ye.. pretty much everywhere throughout Japan.

After years of Covid, we can finally take our trip to Japan and this time we go up North 🥶 Hokkaidō 🎌

We started on the 23rd of February leaving from Suvannabhumi Airport and after 6 hours flight we arrived in the morning of 24th at New Chitose Airport (CTS)

We were really excited to see the snow after so long of no traveling outside Thailand and the temperature below 5 degree is a prefect welcoming present from Hokkaido

After getting our luggage and making sure that we tropical people have put on enough jackets and warmie stuffs, we hopped on our bus and our snowy trip. The airport is pretty far from the town so it did take us a couple of hours to go to our first city called "Furano". As Napoléon once said "an army marches on its stomach" and so do we. Our first stop is lunch in the Japanese hotpot set, which I guess I don't have to tell you how much I love souppie meal like this.

There's a pot in the middle for everyone could eat from and also a rice set (with tempura and salad you know Japanese nibble stuff ) and let me tell you guys, eating hot seafood/fish soup in the cold day like this is just like a warm hug. One of the best feeling ever (great analogy right? 😂)

IMG_8672.jpg

The restaurant is called "Kumagera" which means black woodpecker. They also has woodpecker decorations in the restaurant, which is so cute and very much go with the name.

IMG_8674.jpg
When we're there the staff just lit up the pot because she insists that us to have a nice hot meal and not have it cooked beforehand.

IMG_8679.jpg
Oh right other than hotpot we have Schnitzel (without the crumbs), Kara-ake (fried smaller-pieces chicken) to eat with rice. People always thought that Japanese ppl doesn't eat a lot, well.. here at Kumagera, they sure served us more than enough, y'all.

IMG_8680.jpg
kampai! 🥂 means cheers (Of course with Sake here in Japann)

IMG_8685.jpg
And of course, the dessert "Strawberry Moji". I am not a big fan of it but it's nice after a big meal so I didn't hate it.

Another thing before I forgot is that their bathroom is soo small, but surprisingly practical to fit a big guy like my dad in there. So in conclusion it was great impressive first meal for our first day.

I think I should leave it at that for this first post and I'll tell you guys about the next museums that we went to. Thank you so much everybodyyy.🍜

Welcome to Hive! Hokkaido looks a lot colder than I thought it would. Reminds me of Finland a little bit. The food looks delicious even to me who doesn't like seafood. Looking forward to your next post. See you around! 😄

Hi there, welcome to Hive. Actually, you seem to know a lot about Hive already, almost like you've been here for a long time! You even pinned your first post on Pinmapple which is incredible as many people who have been here for a long time don't know how to do it!

Your introduction post doesn't tell us much about yourself, like how you found out about hive, whether you are involved in any previous accounts either on Hive or legacy chains, whether you have any friends here to guide you and who they are. All this will help us guage the level of support and guidance we need to offer you.

Hey, I onboarded her. We met while traveling and got to talking about Hive. She was curious about the communities and I showed her Pinmapple, OCD and some others for future use. Hope that cleared any confusion.

Thanks for the clarification @strawhat, that definitely helps. We get a lot of 'repeat offenders' who jump onto Hive pretending to be newbies but they know everything about Hive yet reveal very little about themselves in a self introduction post. That's why we always ask newbies who onboarded them as it adds creditability to their account.

Hey, First off thank you for your welcome and I should have made it clear that I already had a friend on Hive. And since it's my first ever time writing a blog I wasn't really sure how or how much to share about me, so I understand that and I'll make sure to letting readers know about me more next time.

Welcome aboard, nomnomnoodle! I'll delegate some resource credits to help you comment and post more often while you get started. The best way to build a good audience is to be a good audience for others, so create conversations!

Be sure to write down your keys and keep them somewhere safe. Here is another writer's overview of which keys do what. Beware of scammers who promise quick riches or mystery airdrops, and don't enter your keys anywhere carelessly.

The HIVE community tends to be welcoming, but rewards may drop off after your introduction. Persevere! The path to success is not always fast and easy. Avoid plagiarism and spam in your posts. You'll make progress in due time. Here's a great post from another blogger with some helpful advice, too.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! I don't have all the answers, but I am glad to help if I can. I probably have questions of my own, because my noodle dish experience is largely based on European-derived recipes, and I have had very little Thai or Japanese cuisine even in cheap Americanized commercial form.
