Hello dear friends of HIVE I want to tell you today about one of my dreams that I am passionate about. Dancing for me is not just moving my body, for me it is my dream, it is my passion, it is my way of draining, it makes me feel free and authentic, I think I dance before learning to walk.
Analyzing many things I came to the conclusion that the person who taught me to dance was my father, when I was little he would carry me and in his arms he danced me. When we were in the car it always caught my attention that if a music played on the radio that he liked, he would take the rhythm and play the steering wheel as if it were a drum, I would always ask him how he did it and perform the slow movements As he explained to me, then little by little he learned what the combination of rhythms was.
One day my parents and I were at the beach, I was little, and I lost my mother on the beach, she was crazy looking for me and I was very happy dancing on a wheel that they played while there was a group of people playing DRUM, You can imagine my mother's anguish and the scolding afterward. The drum here on the coasts of Venezuela is well known, they say that whoever does not dance to the drum is not Venezuelan.

Hola queridos amigos de HIVE quiero contarles hoy sobre uno de mis sueños que me apasiona. El baile para mi no es solo mover el cuerpo, para mi es mi sueño, es mi pasion, es mi manera de drenar, me hace sentir libre y autentica, yo creo que baile antes de aprender a caminar.
Analizando muchas cosas llegue a la conclusión que la persona que me enseñó a bailar fue mi papa, cuando yo era pequeña el me cargaba y en sus brazos me baila. Cuando íbamos en el carro siempre me llamo la atención que si sonaba una música en la radio que a el le gustaba, el llevaba el ritmo y tocaba el volante como si fuese un tambor, siempre le preguntaba que como lo hacia y realizaba los movimientos lentos mientras me explicaba, entonces poco a poco fue aprendiendo lo que era la combinación de ritmos.
Un dia estábamos en la playa mis padres y yo, yo estaba pequeña, y me le perdi a mi mama en la playa, ella estaba como loca buscándome y yo muy feliz estaba bailando en una rueda quesieron mientras habia un grupo de personas tocando TAMBOR, se podrán imaginar la angustia de mi mama y el regaño después. El tambor aquí en las costas de Venezuela es muy conocido, dicen que quien no baila tambor no es venezolano.

Once I auditioned in a theater here in Venezuela called TEATRO DE LA OPERA DE MARACAY, since there is a ballet school there, they did not accept me because I was a little overweight, at that time I think I was about 10 years old. But that was not frustration for me, I always had the dream of being a dancer.
When I was older I started taking classes at dancing las carolinas which is an academy here in Venezuela, I danced bellydance, flamenco and tap.
Then I started giving bellydance classes right there in that academy, my group were girls from 3 years old to 10 years old, at that time, teaching classes became my passion, arriving on Fridays and meeting those little girls who were super excited because they were going to taking classes with me was the best.

Una vez audicione en un teatro aquí en Venezuela que se llama TEATRO DE LA OPERA DE MARACAY, ya que ahí existe una escuela de ballet, no me aceptaron porque tenía un poco de peso de mas, en ese momento creo que tenía como 10 años. Pero eso no fue frustración para mi, siempre tuve el sueño de ser bailarina.
Cuando estaba más grande empecé a tomar clases en dancing las carolinas que es una academia aquí en Venezuela, bailaba bellydance, flamenco y tap.
Después empecé a dar clases de bellydance ahí mismo en esa academia, mi grupo eran las niñas de 3 años hasta 10 años, en ese momento, dar clases se convirtió en mi pasión, llegar los viernes y encontrarme con esas pequeñas súper emocionadas porque iban a recibir clases conmigo era lo máximo.

The girls were very restless and more because they had the caderin, which is the sarong that they put on the waist to dance, imagine 20 or 30 caderines sounding for 1 hour of the girls running around the room, at first I was desperate because they did not do Anyway, since they were girls I began to educate them, I taught them breathing, more than dancing was playing while we danced, when it was their turn to learn the choreography they were fascinated and even more when they knew we had a presentation, little by little I taught them when to play and when dance and pay attention to classes. At the academy we always had two shows, one was in July and the other in December.
The presentations were thematic and the music and choreography had to go according to the theme, imagine adapting a bellydance music with a jungle theme, or with a Christmas theme. Thank God I always came up with something, and the good thing about technology is that music now merges and one can adapt any rhythm to any music.

las niñas eran muy inquietas y mas porque tenían el caderin, que es el pareo que se colocan en la cintura para bailar, imagínense 20 o 30 caderines sonando por 1 hora de las niñas corriendo por todo el salón, al principio me desesperaba porque no hacían caso pero como eran niñas empecé a educarlas, las enseñe respiraciones, mas que bailar era jugar mientras bailábamos, cuando les tocaba aprenderse las coreografías les fascinaba y mas cuando sabían que teníamos presentación, poco a poco les enseñe en que momento jugar y en que momento bailar y prestar atención a las clases. En la academia siempre teníamos dos presentaciones, una era en julio y la otra en diciembre.
Las presentaciones eran temáticas y las músicas y las coreografías debían ir acorde a la temática, imagínense adaptar una música de bellydance con una temática de jungla, o con una temática navideña. Gracias a Dios siempre se me ocurría algo, y lo bueno de la tecnología es que las músicas ahora se fusionan y uno puedo adaptar cualquier ritmo a cualquier música.

One day a colleague who had an academy near where I taught told me that she was looking for a partner to run the academy while she was out of the country, I thought it was my opportunity to do something different, feel like the owner and director of the academy, and so it was, I resigned from the academy where I taught, it should be noted that the girls cried because I was leaving, it was really painful for me to leave them since they had been with me receiving classes for about 5 years.
I started in the other academy, I modified it, I made it beautiful, my parents helped me, that academy had not been open for a long time and I reactivated it, I hired several colleagues from different disciplines, bellydance, casino salsa, urban rhythms, contemporary dance, ballet.

Un día una colega que tenía una academia cerca de donde yo daba clases me comento que estaba buscando una socia, para que llevara la academia mientras ella estaba fuera del país, pensé que era mi oportunidad de hacer algo distinto, sentirme dueña y directora de la academia, y así fue, renuncie a la academia donde daba clases, cabe destacar que las niñas lloraron porque yo me iba, de verdad para mí fue doloroso dejarlas ya que tenían como 5 años conmigo recibiendo clases.
Empecé en la otra academia, la modifique la puse hermosa, mis padres me ayudaron, esa academia tenía mucho tiempo que no se abría y yo la reactive, contrate a varios colegas de distintas disciplinas, bellydance, salsa casino, ritmos urbanos, danza contemporánea, ballet.

Until one day we had to close the academy, after that I began to study more disciplines such as urban rhythms, dance therapy, and twerking. When I was ready, I started teaching classes in different gymnasiums, but they were more like workshops. Then I invented a new way of teaching dance and body acceptance, giving a sensuality workshop, which included dance and tips to recognize and accept your body.
In the twerking workshops I had many students, as in the sensuality workshops, little by little people got to know me and they attended my classes.

Hasta que un día tuvimos que cerrar la academia, después de ahí empecé a estudiar más disciplinas como ritmos urbanos, bailoterapia, y el twerking. Cuando ya estaba preparada empecé a dar las clases en distintas academias gimnasios, pero ya eran más como talleres. Después invente una nueva manera de enseñar a bailar y a la aceptación corporal, dictando un taller de sensualidad, donde incluía baile y tips para reconocer y aceptar su cuerpo.
En los talleres de twerking tenía muchas alumnas, igual que en los talleres de sensualidad, poco a poco la gente fue conociéndome y asistían a mis clases.

I also learned to dance aerial dance, it consists of mounting on fabrics and making figures in the air, it lasted 2 years in that academy until the owner decided to close it, dancing on fabrics is not easy, it implies a lot of strength and perseverance, it cost me but little little by little I achieved it.
If dancing here in Venezuela would be a profession, I would have studied that, but unfortunately they don't value it here. My dream is to have a dance school, where people graduate through a curriculum, learn all the disciplines of dance and have an international degree.

Aprendí también a bailar danza aérea, consiste en montarse en telas y hacer figuras en el aire, dure 2 años en esa academia hasta que la dueña decidió cerrarla, bailar en las telas no es fácil, implica mucha fuerza y constancia, me costó pero poco a poco lo logre.
Si aquí en Venezuela BAILAR sería una profesión hubiese estudiado eso, pero por desgracia aquí no lo valoran. Mi sueño es tener una escuela de danza, donde las personas mediante un pensum se gradúen, aprendan todas las disciplinas de la danza y que sea un título internacional.

I really don't know if I will have that school in Venezuela or in another country, but I know that I will achieve it and it will be a highly recognized school.

De verdad no sé si esa escuela la tendré en Venezuela o en otro país, pero sé que lo lograre y será una escuela muy reconocida.
