TWITTER HUSTLE MODE ON - Why It's Important To Be Active On Twitter Right Now!

in OCD4 years ago (edited)

I've recently started being much more active on Twitter than ever. Even making it into a personal experiment of mine to try and moon my stats on the platform, which turned out to be a massive success! During the past couple of weeks, it has become apparent to me that Twitter is where it's at!

The platform has proven to be a mighty tool for reaching out to the wider crypto sphere and capturing the attention of highly influential people and projects. It seems to be the place where the entire crypto community resides and we should not hesitate to take advantage of this simple fact. Especially now when we have enormous momentum going in our favor. Not to mention that we've got the entire crypto community by our side, including big players like Vitalik Buterin, Andreas Antonopoulos, Dan Larimer, JohnMcafee to name a few. Collectively, they have more than 2M followers and these are just a few individuals who stood by our side and rose awareness about what's going on with a chain we once called home.

Of course, this is not mentioning all of the news outlets like Cointelegraph and Coindesk who've written multiple stories on the drama we've been going through which they've also shared of course, on Twitter.

This unprecedented wave of free press we've received lately is going to prove to be of vital importance moving forward, IF WE CAN KEEP IT UP.

As most of you already know, success of any given project/product/company is greatly correlated to the amount and tone of the press they get. Having this in mind, we should keep pounding on Twitter as much as we possibly can. Obviously, not by mindlessly spamming but rather communicating our thoughts and ideas in a constructive and meaningful way.

For instance, one of my recent tweets might actually lead to some kind of integration of Brave with Hive.

This is something I tried pushing for Steem a while back using platforms such as Reddit, lacking any significant result other than a formal response from their community managers.

Although nothing was achieved on other platforms when I proposed the same exact thing on Twitter with a little help from @khaleelkazi we've got one of Brave's developers in talks with @theycallmedan about a possible collaboration.

How fucking awesome is that?!

I was stunned to see how practical simply mentioning someone on Twitter really is.

While I'm not trying to take creds here nor am I stating that this will surely go through and that you should stack up on HIVE on the rumor and sell the news. This is simply exemplifying the true power and the still untapped potential of Twitter as a platform to both promote our blockchain, acquiring new users and to build bridges between other projects, possibly resulting in symbiotic partnerships.

This pot of gold shall not be left unclaimed. I will not allow for it to transpire.

On the other hand, this same exact thought process can be applied to assure exchange listings. Think about it. If we get enough genuine inquiries about listing our coin on an exchange, they have to act accordingly. Their management can't just mindlessly ignore the wants and needs of their clients. Unless we're talking about Coinbase, they can do whatever tf they want.

Same can be said for assuring listings on sites such as CMC, CoinGecko and other websites that track capitalizations of cryptocurrencies. One of my recent tweets was actually the last one that was published (in a sea of others that were posted before) right before we collectively managed to push CMC to list both $HIVE and $HBD! It was quite effective as it stabs them right where it hurts the most, user retention.

Another thing that I would love to see everyone use Twitter for is to raise awareness about Hive and the Steem/Sun drama amongst Twitter crypto influencers. They must realize and report truthfully about this unprecedented, possibly even illegal, money attack to dismantle and centralize a decentralized blockchain. This should be front-page news on every platform where crypto-related publications appear, yet it is currently not the case. Reason being, we haven't been able to make a big enough noise about it.

This is where influencers come into play. They should be fighting vigilantly by our side, in the name of decentralization by shouting about it from all mountain tops. Every single social media platform should be buzzing about it. At that point it would be a sign of incompetence or negligence and even dishonesty if media didn't report on it.

In order to achieve this we must first educate the influencers which will follow up by educating the wider crypto community which will then consequently put massive pressure on media to report on the issues genuinely.

This is something @lukestokes is beast at. His recent tweet storm is a perfect example. I invite you to take a look and RT it for everyone to see.

Next step towards mainstream Hive adoption is to get as many established crypto influencers onboard as humanly possible.

Of course, this shouldn't be done in that "hey sir, upvote pls, can't feed my goat" manner, but rather by acting accordingly when you see an opportunity to mention Hive in a constructive and meaningful way.

E.g. someone is inquiring about a new platform to post on, complains about censorship, get's de-platformed or shadow-banned on other platforms, etc. That's where we jump in with solutions such as peakD and 3speak.

There is a wealth of such opportunities on Twitter each day. We would be foolish to let them pass by without jumping in and snatching a piece of the pie.

I've recently made it a self-project of mine to do everything I possibly can to have our voice heard on Twitter, acquire new users, exchange listings and collaborations. I'm taking any chance I see to take a stab at Sun for his maliciousness, as well as CZ for not responding to this latest drama he helped start.

Another tweet I would like to bring up as an example to how the platform could be used in our advantage is this recent reply to CoinTelegraph's publication on decentralized alternatives to YouTube where they forgot to mention 3speak. Maybe they were unaware of its existence, who knows.

Although this tweet didn't get far, rest assured that if we've bombarded CT with hundreds of similar tweets, next time they would write a related article, 3speak would be mentioned in there!

All of the above is why I'm asking you to jump onboard and start pounding on Twitter daily!

Don't be shy, take any chance you get.

  • Every single tweet that Sun makes should be overflowing with our comments about his malicious and now even criminal acts towards our community and ex-blockchain he successfully shattered to pieces.

  • His entire following should know about the wrongdoings of their tyrannical overlord and they should be reminded of it on his every tweet.

  • Tweet about Sun's recent maliciousness tagging news outlets such as CoinDesk, Cointelegraph and pressuring them to write an unbiased article based on factual evidence, recorded on-chain for everyone to see.

  • Ping exchanges for listings any time they tweet.

  • Ask projects about collaborations.

  • Request CZ to respond on where the fuck are your HIVE tokens and why hasn't he released them to their respective owners. Also, how come Sun can withdraw his HIVE while everyone else is still waiting for their tokens to be released.

  • Inquiry for an official response from CZ about the recent developments (Sun freezing funds of legitimate users in revenge for successfully forking Steem) and demand delisting both $STEEM and $TRX from Binance.

  • Search for de-platformed or shadow-banned content creators complaining about YouTube and suggest them to move their content to 3speak

  • Find content creators censored on other platforms and let them know about a censorship-resistant solution, Hive

  • Spread the good word about Hive whenever you can without coming out as a Hive shill, be genuine and honest.

  • Share your Hive posts on Twitter

  • Like, re-tweet and comment on Hive related content.

  • Make a buzz so loud, not even the founder of Twitter can ignore it.

These next couple of months will end up defining the future of our platform. The fight isn't over yet. We are battling Goliath here. He has billions to blow while we have the power of a global community. He has an entire army of shills, while we've got thousands of die-hard idealists. Who will end up winning is all on you and how you act in the coming months.

The choice is on you but whatever you end up doing, mark my words when I say that this story will go down in the blockchain history books.

Let's make sure we end up on the top!

Do your part today by taking advantage of Twitter's yet untapped potential!
