It's the 60th date of my journey on HIVE. Of course, I don't remember the date I came here. I used the tool from https://www.hiveblockexplorer.com/@the100. Pretty neat tool.
I love HIVE and like hanging around here whenever I have time to do so. Even hanging around at discords with HIVE people is fun and engaging. I want to stay here for the long term which is why I've been powering up with every opportunity I get.
Anyway, today I powered up 1127 HIVE to my account which puts me at 2141HP. Honestly, I had the goal of reaching 1500 HP and seems like I just crushed that goal 😄. I accumulated this amount by selling off some game assets and had some lying around on an exchange(Huobi) as well.
I was planning to powerup anyway, but then I saw the post by @nickyhavey. You've been helpful since the day I came in, from introducing me to communities, contests, and even handing out helpful tips.

Feels like I'm in a pretty good position now as my upvote has a bit more value now. Now that I've achieved my previous goal of 1500 HP, I want to make it harder this time and make the goal to reach 5000HP. If I remember correctly that's the threshold for an account to be called a "dolphin". Who doesn't wants to be a dolphin. 😄
HIVE Power Up day is an event that happens on the first day of every month. The event organized by some awesome people @traciyork and @brittandjosie encourages you to power up as much as you can and stop powering down if you are doing it. It's a very great initiative. Here are some of the rules.
1 - Reputation score - must be greater than 39.00 but below 70.00 (so 69.99 is good & Can participate but 38.99 is not)
2 - Hive Power - must be greater than 100HP but below 8000HP (prior to HivePUD).
3 - Time - must power Up HIVE on JULY 1st, 2020
4 - Post - must make a post about powering up on July 1st with the tag #HivePUD.
There are lots of prizes to be won. I'm just going to link a post if you're interested.

Yes mate!! That's pretty sick! More than double power up and you've literally smashed past your goal in double quick time haha! Dolphinhood beckons next, I think it's a smidgen over 5k HP now, maybe 5,075 HP, something like that?

Yeah I'm in the same boat, would love to get to Orca by the time Christmas comes so going to be reserving some cash and any excess crypto I'm not using (i.e. tokens I bought ages ago and have lost like 90% of their value just sitting around) will convert to HIVE and put it to work!

Yayy, That's really great news. I'm not sure why you're calling powering down as loss. I'm sure you have reasons. Nevertheless, like you said, you now have a convenient way to buy more HIVE. That's pretty cool :)

Yeah, he is, and so is all of you. It's actually people like you who are really helping the communities to come together for a better future. Lots of new users (as I was) would probably have left before they even start if you guys weren't around helping us.

There's definitely a lot more help and welcoming newcomers in which is great to see and hear that it makes a difference. With the activity on Twitter as well, there's a lot more ways to reach out as well, this wasn't the case a couple of years ago when I was a newcomer.

Yes Twitter. Thats how I found out about HIVE. I ignored it for a while until I saw more tweets about HIVE, by then I got curious.
There's only so many times you can ignore the calling before you succumb to it haha! Slowly but surely, more people will join and have as much fun as the rest of us and we'll be there to welcome them on 😃
