Welcome to a new round of Let's Make a Collage!

The LMAC community keeps growing, now counting 1567 LMACians! An amazing 204 participants supported our community prize pool with their contributions to the LMAC and the LIL during the last week. This allows us to award substantial prizes worth 167 HIVE in this round!

Thank you all for supporting the LMAC and thus the Hive! Whether you are an LMAC or LIL contributor, LMAC trail member or stakeholder who supports us with your upvotes, the LMAC's success is owed to every single one of you!

The LMAC Image Library (LIL) is a great new resource in the LMACsphere and we will continuously accept and reward your contributions. If you like to catch up with the LIL and its rules please start 👉 here.

❗️ We highly encourage all LMACians to use LIL assets in their collages and will provide additional rewards for doing so:

  • For each LIL-asset used, the corresponding LIL-contributors are expected to be added as 2% beneficiary each in the respective LMAC entry!
  • In turn, collages using LIL-assets will be supported with a higher vote weight by our trail!

🧑‍⚖️As our guest judge for this week please welcome community member @galart! Her collages scored highest in the previous two round's of the LMAC and thus she will support our standing jury in nominating the finalists of this round.

Rules

  • The above photography needs to be the starting point for any further modification. It is provide by me (@shaka) for free use without any copyright protection.
  • 📌 Entries need to set the @lmac account as 20% beneficiary to receive support from our trail and to be eligible to receive contest prizes.
  • 📌 Entries need to be posted to the LMAC community.
  • 📌 Submissions need to be linked as a comment to this post.
  • 📌 Any graphical element that is added to the template either needs to
    • be your own original work, or
    • derive from the LIL, or
    • derive from one of the 👉 whitelisted public domain image services!.
  • 📌 Include the #creativecoin tag to benefit from additional curation through a 70k CCC delegation to the @lmac account by the Creative Coin Fund.
  • ❗️We highly encourage all participants to use LIL assets in their collages and will provide additional rewards for doing so:

  • ❗️ Sources for all used materials need to be provided in your entry post. Otherwise your entry can NOT be put up for the final vote.
  • All sort of editing, modification and/or manipulation is allowed as long as no copyright is affected.
  • ❗️❗️❗️By submitting your contribution you warrant that your artwork is in your sole ownership and that is free of any copyrighted material. Every participant in the LMAC contest further agrees to hand over their artwork into the public domain and that it can be copied, modified and distributed by others, even for commercial purposes, without requiring further permission.

Good to know:

  • ❗️If you contribute 5 times to the community bonus during a three month period, you become eligible to receive the LMAC Contributor Badge for prize pool supporters. If you believe to have met this requirement, please comment to this post and provide the links for the respective 5 entries of yours.
  • A curation trail has been registered on hive.vote to further support all valid submissions to the LMAC. By following this trail you will support all LMAC contributors but also receive a decent boost on your curation rewards by frontrunning a vote by me (@shaka).     This is first time entering one of these challenges. I'm wondering do we have to use the provided source image as the background or just incorporate it in its entirety or are we able to use pieces from the image and not the full image? I figured it be worthwhile for me to get clarity up front. Thanks in advance and good luck to all.

    Thanks much and already busy on there gathering assets. I'm a little worried with the 2% beneficiary what happens if you used more than 50 assets lol? I'll try not to but I very well could depending on how detailed a piece is. I'm glad I found this challenge as this is the kind of stuff I've done for fun on my own for a while.

      As for the 2% rule, maybe limit it to 3-4 pieces. For using LIL-images, we provide extra support with our trail which will overcompensate the beneficiaries in the vast majority of cases. Also, just in case you haven't seen that already, don't forget the 20% beneficiaries to the lmac account, this is the source for our prize pool each week.

          Hello, #lmac friends.
          We have a challenging photo in this round. Lots of angles and lines to play with. I think it will be a lot of fun to see what comes out of that skein of tubes.
          However, the hill... All that beautiful bare rock....

                  Wow, you would think I wouldn't be attracted to this, because I love nature images. But this one has colors that are so pleasing. And it has so many elements. Really quite intriguing. Many ideas come to mind...which one will work?

                  Can't wait to see what the community does with this. After last week's spectacular showing, I don't know what to expect :)

                      Goodluck everyone! Can someone please verify if by posting to LMAC Community according to the rules you only need to use the community tag LetsMakeACollage or if we need to do something else? I'm not sure on that rule. Thanks.

                        So it looks like the way it gets posted to the LMAC community is by using the first tag after looking at other peoples posts. When I went to edit tags it says you can't edit the first tag so am I sol and need to delete my post and repost it with LMAC tag as the first tag or is my entry valid the way it is?
