Why am I still here?

in Project HOPE4 years ago (edited)

Hello dear readers, I am writing this post in response to a challenge made by our good friend @theycallmedan, who came up with this wonderful initiative, which makes us reflect on the REASONS FOR WHICH WE ARRIVE, the LIVED EXPERIENCES and BECAUSE WE CONTINUE HERE, with these three elements I will structure this story.

"What gives you the motivation to keep posting, curating, interacting with and or helping grow the Steem community, despite this 2-year bear market?"

For me it is not about the price, although I would like to see it go up!

Because I arrived and what are my experiences.

I arrived on this platform in February 2018, without any knowledge of STEEM or cryptography, with a great expectation for the rewards I would receive, the reference I had from STEEMIT was that there was a social network that paid you to publish, vote and comment, now I understand that many Venezuelans took advantage when STEEM reached its all-time high.

When I open my account I find a reality very different from what I had imagined, with all the problems that our country has of electricity, Internet and added to this my inexperience, alone and without anyone to advise me how to progress in the ecosystem.

Being honest, in the middle of this frustrating situation I left the platform twice, the last time I publish again I am surprised by the HF20, WOOO uploaded a publication and when I am going to make a comment I throw an error, try several times without success until I looked closely at the message that said I didn't have enough credit to publish, that's how I started to investigate and know what this was all about.

At the end of 2018 fighting with the little STEEM POWER and the limitations to publish, it was when I met @crypto.piotr, he read my publications, I received notes to my wallet, I was gaining confidence, he supported me until he was born @project.hope with more direct and constant support I began to form in this medium.

Today I can say that what I am and what I have done on this platform I owe it to God, @crypto.piotr and @project.hope, a vibrant and committed community.

Why am I still here?

There are many reasons that keep me here, honestly it is not the money I can earn, on this platform I have created strong relationships, bonds of friendship, solidarity and commitment, particularly I think that STEEM is more than a cryptocurrency, steem is family, relationships , learning training and opportunities.

I am still here because of the community to which I belong, the one I have seen growing while others grow with it, Project Hope is not just business, mutual support or growth, it is brotherhood, solidarity, commitment on and off the platform.

Even with all the turbulence that we live in today, steem is an incomparable place, I don't conceive a day that I don't turn on my computer to navigate this platform.

With STEEM I wake up very early and go to bed very late.

Actually, the community called project hope and the people in it is one reason why i am still on steemit. I have stayed to love @project.hope, @crypto.piotr, @pedrobrito2004 and a lot of people.

It is right friend @ben-edom, we are passing a lot, we are approaching for some reason but we end up merging with the group, creating strong bonds of solidarity and fraternity.

That's very good, thanks for being here.

Welcome to Project Hope

Thanks for the comment, it is nice to know that the relationships we are establishing motivate other people to stay and participate in the Steem blockchain.

Dear @fucho80

Thanks for sharing your story with us. It seem that most of us came here hoping to make some bucks, and most people failed and quit already lol :)

Some users obviously stayed. Just like me and you. We came because of money, and we've stayed because of people.

Project Hope is not just business, mutual support or growth, it is brotherhood, solidarity, commitment on and off the platform.

THATS RIGHT! :) We're all of it and much more :P

ps.
Are you in touch with @theycallmedan? Perhaps you could introduce him to project.hope and try to get his support to our @ph-fund curation trail?

Cheers, Piotr

Hello dear @crypto.piotr, thanks for your comment.

Yes, I think that relationships with people, family and friends should weigh more than money. Unfortunately in the world there are people who do not consider it that way and tip the balance towards money.

Money is important but perishable, money comes and goes, a well-founded relationship lasts forever.

ps.
Are you in touch with @theycallmedan? Perhaps you could introduce him to project.hope and try to get his support to our @ ph-fund curation trail?

I don't have a direct and close relationship with him, I just follow his work and I like his initiatives.

But if you can read this message, here is Project Hope adding value to this community, creating strong ties and willing to work for the platform.

Thanks friend!

Steemit is now a home for so many of us and not just a money making machine like we all thought it would be.

As for @project.hope, it is family to me. Having people i can interact with on a daily basis, sharing the same goal and vision.

Hello friend @gbenga, thanks for sharing your opinion.

Steemit is now a home for so many of us and not just a money making machine like we all thought it would be.

Totally agree, most of us arrived here looking for income and wealth, but we ended up getting something better, good relationships, friendship, support and family.

As for @project.hope, it is family to me. Having people i can interact with on a daily basis, sharing the same goal and vision.

Project Hope is more than a community, it has become a transcendental project, very attractive, influential and familiar.

I love this story, the community project hope is the reason why i came back to steemit.

Woo friend, stories like that is what we want to hear, I know they will multiply over time, this project is adding real value to this chain.

I am very happy that this project has given you hope on this platform.

Hopefully things get better, what is happening is solved and steem is projected more strongly.

Thanks for sharing your story.

Hi dear @fucho80

steem is family, relationships , learning training and opportunities.

I share your vision in this regard. Steemit is a network that particularly makes me feel empowered, where I know people who have really saved my life and changed it, it is a generous and social project that thanks to @crypto.piotr and initiatives like @project.hope take content forward bright and give hope to those who need it.

Very interesting contest, I congratulate you, I think you are in Steemit for the right reasons.

Thanks friend @reinaldoverdu.

Very interesting contest, I congratulate you, I think you are in Steemit for the right reasons.

In addition to all this, steemit has allowed me to undertake initiatives such as @hope.venezuela that allows me to take the benefits of steem beyond the platform.

Friend @fucho80. I congratulate you for your perseverance. That speaks a lot about a person, and I'm very happy because our lives on this platform we could cross paths with @crypto.piotr he has definitely given momentum to many people.

Saludos.

You mention relationships and I found them here. I must say though that I believe we need a blockchain based platform like this. By we I mean the world.
