Drama means to me the exaggerated.

That's how I've always seen it, and even more so in real life you deal with many people who want to tell you something simple, but who dramatize it so much that it seems like something serious. I think you should pay attention to this, as to when to believe what is real and how much exaggeration there is in what they tell you or show you.

However; the author presents here a different optics and to my understanding it is like calling people's attention in order to obtain quick results.

Appealing to feelings.

Well, I'm a person who likes to separate the serious from the funny, the friendship from the business, that is, I don't mix one thing with the other. Sometimes the way people express themselves when they ask for something, is usually by appealing to feelings or by showing pain, sadness, (exaggerated) illness; I have always been against such behavior.

The gift of conviction.

But since I am in a constant learning process and I cannot read this book and learn nothing, I can turn this context around by looking at the positive side and looking for ways to apply it in everyday life. It is true, people who do not let themselves be seen will always be invisible and using techniques to capture someone's attention is valid. Many have the gift of conviction, of just talking and being heard because their voice is present, but others do not, so that is where they have to make you notice by using dramatization as long as it is in accordance with the situation, the topic or the moment.

For my part I continue to insist that the use of this technique should be handled very well.

Beware of exaggeration.
