Your Unique Personality

No two individual born (not even twins) have exactly the same makeup, they are always things to differentiate one from another and these differences also come in their personalities. One of the things that make humans unique is our diversity - diversity of character, diversity of traits, diversity of personality and whatnot.

Knowing that you are different from others will make you to limit how you compete with people and focus more on building on yourself and consolidating on your strengths. The real "you" will be appreciated more when you complete and complement people instead of just competing with them.

The question you should always focus on answering at any point is "who are you? (your makeup) and what are you designed to do? (Your function)." When you have this in mind, you will neither major on the minors, nor minor on the majors. The greatest achievement anyone can boast of is the achievement of "self discovery". Without discovering yourself and the real you, any other thing may not make much meaning to you.

The accomplishment of any noticeable feat will start by the act of discovering yourself. You have to come to a point when you will look inwards to discover both your strengths and your weaknesses and then consolidate on your strengths while you also work on your weaknesses. The time people spend to imitate others in the bid to become like them, can be channelled to working on themselves and becoming better.

One of the things that hamper people's progress is trying to become like others. You have to realize that you have a different distinction to reach in life, which may not be the same with the person you are trying to be like. If you leave your own route and follow someone to run on his own route, when he finally arrives at his destination, you will become stranded.

Even if you are still enroute to the same destination, if you get distracted by someone else and drops before your destination, you will also become stranded. To discover your purpose, you need to focus on not only discovering yourself and setting your goals but working and improving on yourself and your personality.

You do not have to wish to become like someone else, just work to become a better and improved version of yourself. You have something unique and of value, which you are to use to impact your world. But note: if you are not aware of what you are meant to do, every other thing will look like it and you will end up being distracted.
