Género musical que impacto masas se podría decir que se origina a partir de la fusión de dos células musicales o géneros como son el rhythm and blues y el country Solo por nombrar dos. Aunque el rock engloba una cantidad de géneros las personas no saben cómo surge este hermoso género que por varias décadas nos ha gustado tanto. Este género tienes sus raíces en los años 1950 y parte del rock and roll evolucionando así para quedarse Por el resto de los años a medida en que los años pasas el rock se fusiona a mediados de los años 1960 con el folk (rock-folk) con el blues (blues-rock) con el jazz (jazz-rock) y sin una marca de tiempo para crear el (rock-psicodélico)

Los años 70 el rock se vuelve más duro y empiezan a engrandecer el mercado bandas como Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Queen, Blue Cheer; en los 80 el rock neo progresivo aparece con artistas como Tears for Fears, Duran Duran, INXS, The Cars, Adam and the Ants, Billy Idol; también el rock alternativo que es uno de los generos que mas ha gustado a nivel mundial con artistas como Siouxsie & the Banshees, R.E.M., U2, The Smiths, Primal Scream, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Jane's Addiction, Dinosaur Jr. y Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nacve en este año también el hard rock con artistas reconocidos y que jamás dejaran nuestras vidas como lo son, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Europe, L.A. Guns, Guns N' Roses, Kiss, Vinnie Vincent Invasion, Mötley Crüe, Poison, Ratt, Tesla, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister, Warrant, White Lion y Whitesnake; este año surge también el trash metal que arrasa con un numero grande de seguidores como lo hicieron sus artistas tales como, Megadeth, Venom, Celtic Frost, Metallica, Slayer, Testament, Anthrax, Sepultura, Suicidal Tendencies, Pantera, Overkill.

La época de los 80 es una de las épocas que mas a marcado la vida de quienes nos gusta escuchar este genial genero ya que su popularidad en este año determino el gran número de seguidores que ahora mismo les gusta el rock. En la época de los 90 bandas como, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Blind Melon y Alice In Chains nos dan una inyección de adrenalina convinando elementos de todo el rock mostrado hasta ahora y renovando los viejos seguidores del 80 a los jóvenes que ahora empiezan a escuchar mas rock nuevo.

Tenemos ante nosotros el mayor genero apoyado por la mayor cantidad de empresas y márquetin a nivel mundial, el pop que según muchos ha sido el género con mayor popularidad en el mundo, viene siendo una mezcla de rock, música negra y británica que rebaja la formula agresiva y temperamental que trae el rock hacia los años 50, para agradar e involucrar a más personas dentro de grupos sociales.

En aquel momento y hasta ahora puedes no ser mal visto si te gusta el pop ya que es como escuchar un rock pero con letras adornadas y arreglos menos perpetradores para causar cierta frescura y agradar a más público.

Artistas como el rey del pop Michael Jackson o como Madonna son los iconos que jamás dejaran de pasar de moda, pues supieron aprovechar el auge del género y la inversión de dinero en la época para hacer un marketing musical sin precedentes y así llevar paralelamente a la época del rock un camino de éxito.

Actualmente el pop es un género que tiene también lugar en los top 10 de todas las emisoras de radios pero no marca tanto una época como lo ha hecho el rock no se puede quitar su éxito en el mundo musical pero no podemos dudar que es un estilo rebuscado el cual engloba lo mejor de muchos géneros para agradar a quienes no tienen un gusto claro hacia algún genero.

A mi particular vista encuentro que los dos géneros tienen una posición amplia en el mercado y el gusto de las personas apoderándose así de la industria por muchas décadas, para mí el mayor movimiento social lo a protagonizado el rock desde sus inicios y a tenido muchos más iconos que el género del pop, actualmente en latino América aun recordamos aquella época dorada del rock aun en nuestras emisoras se escucha gongs and roses.

Currently pop is a genre that also has a place in the top 10 of all radio stations but does not mark an era as much as rock has done, we can not take away its success in the musical world but we can not doubt that it is an elaborate style which encompasses the best of many genres to please those who do not have a clear taste for any genre.

In my particular view I find that the two genres have a broad position in the market and the taste of the people thus taking over the industry for many decades, for me the greatest social movement has starred rock since its inception and has had many more icons than the pop genre, currently in Latin America we still remember that golden age of rock even in our stations you can hear gongs and roses.

Así que para culminar esta batalla de géneros ubico desde mi punto de vista como ganador al ROCK inigualable de todos los tiempos!!
