I just finished a 37.139km cycling that lasted about 1hh:43mm:13ss !
Ride felt good. Generally tried to pave myself to make sure I wouldn't bonk when I'm far away from home without Caity around as a backup ride.
Couldn't have asked for a much nicer day to be out there. Nice cool breeze, for the most part. Empty trails so I could go fast at points. Really had a fun time.
Was great to push myself on distance a bit. Hoping to keep pushing it and getting more into it, as cycling seems to be easier on my knees than running is these days. Maybe I'll buy a fancy carbon bike frame next year....

Nice long ride. The grass is looking very dry there. Have you been getting the hot weather? I know it's been extreme in some places.

Yeah everything is SUPER dry here. Unseasonably warm weather (not to mention the hopefully only 'once-in-a-lifetime' Heat Dome that happened a month ago), as well as unseasonably dry.
Haven't had rain in over a month, I think -- and we're technically in a "cool, temperate, wet forest biome".
At least we're not dealing with forest fires like the rest of the province:
We've had it about as hot as it gets here, but then we had some rain. It's cooled down a bit now. We don't have A/C at home, so I am happy enough with cooler temperatures.
