How do I build my Yoga practice

My daily practice is such a special time for me, I need this time to tune into my body, emotions, and mental state.
This is why I like to keep the practice open, with a lot of space to flow and improvise, based on where I am that day.

But I notice that with only flow and random movement, not much progress is made, and it Is not helping to build new skills.
So I am finding the middle path. Every few weeks I will reflect on my goals, what is week and need more work? what progress have I made?

Then I will choose my focus points, for example, now I am working on upper body strength and learning to arm-balance in the crow pose. So I have a few exercises that I will do regularly, I am choosing between 3-5 exercises that will help me towards my goals. All the rest will be improvised based on how I feel that day.

If you are just starting your practice it is natural to have a more fixed fram work, until you have this 'bank' of ideas and you feel comfortable improvising. If you are looking for where to start, or some more guides for your practice, I am here for you!
