With the Hive Empowers Communities project, we have witnessed how Hive can truly change lives. This project has piqued the interest of many, as it holds the potential to make a significant difference in people's lives. The initiative has not only provided water but has enhanced overall access to clean water, contributing to better health and well-being of people living in deprived areas. Currently work is ongoing with the 12th borehole in Asamankama, a suburb in Offinso-Ashanti Region.

As previously announced , we had a meeting with the town leaders and conducted a survey of the designated project site. This week, the drilling team broke ground to commenced the first phase of the project. The initial phase is about drilling, mechanization, water testing, and treatment, all of which are handled by the drilling company, overseeing every aspect of this crucial stage. This initial stage is the most important phase of the project and must be carried out meticulously to ensure an access to abundance of water.

Bringing all tasks under the first phase paves the way for us to begin the next phase, which involves a series of construction works for structural development. The second phase will encompass the construction of walls for the taps, tower for the water tank, piping, tiling, and electrical work. With a three-week timeline, our goal is to complete all project with the last phase, which is always an inaugural ceremony to make the borehole available for community use. The final phase will also entail utilizing various media channels to highlight the impacts of Hive and share them with the rest of the world.

The success achieved so far can be attributed to the support we have received from the Hive community, and we appreciate everyone who has shown so much interest and love for this impactful project here in Ghana. Additionally, we acknowledge the town leaders of Asamankama for their wonderful reception and their support since we informed them about plans to construct the Hive well for the community. Even though we are yet to complete all the work and hand over the project, news has already spread, and some residents stopped by at the site while drilling was ongoing.

In all, we are glad to have reached out and have installed the 12th borehole in the town, which we believe will help ease the burden of residents having to travel for miles to access water. We will continue to provide updates regarding all developments under each phase with the Hive community. Thanks for your attention and time.
