Customer Service left the chat.

I already know I can be straightforward with the way I interact with businesses that I patronize. When I go to a place and I enjoy what I get there, I come back again and I feel the business owner or the employees I interact with can easily see that I enjoy being there for whatever reason.

In that same manner, if I decide to spend my money buying stuff from a business or getting whatever service that's offered and I notice that their customer service is messed up, I make it obvious that I didn't enjoy that transaction. The person I transacted with would likely know that I wasn't satisfied for whatever reason.

Just a few days ago, I decided to patronize a lady who started a business in my Compound. She opened the shop two weeks ago and some of the things she sells are things I would usually step outside the gate to buy. Now that we have someone selling those stuff inside the compound, getting some stuff from her saves me the minutes I would burn if I stepped out of our gate. In the same manner, it helps her business to grow. It's a win-win situation for both of us.

At some point this mid-week, I went to make a cash withdrawal from her and she inflated the withdrawal charges. I didn't particularly enjoy that and I told her about it, but her reply was that "Cash is Scare".

Well, no big deal for me. I let it fly and credited the amount to her. Just when I was waiting for her to hand over cash to me, she gave me an incomplete amount.

I know there have been circumstances where POS Agents wouldn't have enough cash and the right approach would be for them to say;

"I don't have up to the amount you need. This is what I have. Should we go ahead with the transaction?

This particular lady chose to give me incomplete cash with the intention that I could receive the rest of the cash when she get more cash at hand. She chose to take that approach without making an inquiry to know if I needed the money urgently.

I didn't enjoy the way she handled the transaction and I didn't let it fly. I gave her the option to give me the full cash or reverse the money I sent to her account with the charges attached. She couldn't go ahead with the former so, she did the latter. And, that was the end of our transaction for that day.

I went to one of my other customers that runs a POS business and I successfully did the transaction. This time around, there was no drama attached to the transaction, the fee was reasonable and I got the full cash I needed. Plus, a remarkable customer service.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

This is the reason why I hate doing business with people at home, they want to just use that "I know you" privilege to take advantage of people. I don't mind leaving my house and trek miles to my favorite customers and do my transaction there then come back home. I don't have energy to argue with anyone in the name of I want to patronize you because you are someone I know.

That's exactly the case. These people fail to realize we are just trying to patronize them. They end up treating customers like their money bag and scaring people away with poor customer service.

Seriously, that's a bad business strategy on their part.

Their own na play boss, we would look for a better place to patronize. There is no time 😂
Happy Sunday sir

Wait o, but how could she even choose the amount to give you
I mean if you didn’t need that amount , I don’t think you would have gone to withdraw that amount if you didn’t need it in the first place.
Ahh what’s this

Lol... This easily brings back memory of the awful customer service that was displayed by most POS Agents during the currency rebranding phase we experienced last year. It was really awful and a lot of them are still on their high horse till this moment.

Very sad
