The nightwalker: I don't sleep until the wee hours of the day.

Hello, everyone.

I welcome you to my blog. We are all wired differently. I have friends who, once it is 8 p.m, are off to bed, and I am left wondering if they are not humans like me. We keep teasing them that the reason they find it easy to sleep so early is because they have peace of mind and lots of money, while we who can't sleep that early don't have any money at all, and they should do giveaways for us so we too can sleep early. Some people's bedtime is even 7 p.m, and once it is past 7 p.m, you hear them say it is past bedtime for them. While the rest of us are still warming up to start the night, some people feel it is late.

I know there are many like myself out there too; sleeping early is just not our thing; we just have to stay awake till past midnight. It's more like we are wired that way; most times I do nothing other than watch movies or operate my phone, with no serious task at hand, but I still can't sleep early. The saying early to bed, early to rise has nothing to do with me; I go to bed very late almost every night, and I still wake up as early as possible to go about my daily activities.

I find it very difficult to sleep early, so I don't consider myself an early bed. Due to my schedule both in school and at home, I find it very difficult to observe siestas, so almost every day I sleep for less than 8 hours, and it does not affect my productivity for the day. Some days I might feel a slight headache, but it goes away with time while I go about my daily activities. I hear people say they could not meet up on time because they slept late. That is to say, if they were like me, who sleeps late almost every night, then they would have lost their jobs already.

A typical day in my life.

Every day, I wake up as early as 5 a.m to prepare for work. I might be at home, but my routine of sleeping very late and waking up a little early in order to meet with time does not change. Since everyone in my house wakes up at 5 a.m, no one wants to know when you slept; you are leaving that bed too. We start by saying our prayers and then go about our different chores while preparing breakfast as well.

I work at a sachet water-producing company; work there starts at different times depending on where you work within the company. For those that do deliveries, work starts at 6 a.m, but for me, who works with the production line, work starts at 8 a.m. The only disadvantage of this job is that you don't know your closing hour. Sometimes we work until 9 p.m, and sometimes we don't work that much; it all depends on demand.

I have little or no time for sleep, and I feel my body has adapted to that, so sleeping does not really interfere with my everyday schedule. I use my lunch break time to write on hive, Since we cannot cheat nature, I try to rest as much as I can during the weekends so my energy to face the new week will be replenished.

Thanks for reading my post.

7pm?? Who even sleeps at 7pm ? I had a friend in university
Anytime, it’s 8pm he would say it’s past his bed time and that he would have to leave the study group
I’m always like how???

I think it's all about our upbringing, and sometimes our genes. I make sure my son is in bed by 8pm, but the guy won't sleep 😂 but he can't leave his bed. So he is there until he falls asleep maybe an hour later.
Some find it easier to sleep than others.

It’s like you are actually used to sleeping late and that’s why you don’t mind sleeping late and still finding a way to be productive. That’s nice to know, maybe you should have a whole lecture to teach most of us how you do it.lol
