Splinterlands Battle Mage Secrets- Ferocity

Hi guys,

Welcome to my blog. I know it's been a while since I made an spl blog post so today I am making an entry to the battle mage secretes contest.

The ruleset for today is Ferocity; which means all monsters have the fury ability. With this kind of ruleset its actually a bad selection when you put monsters with taunt ability in your line up. This is because with the card with taunt ability it will receive double damage from a card with the fury ability.

Being in the gold league means I get to play with 3 rulesets. The other rulesets for this a particular battle was

Armored up: All monsters have 2 amor in addition to their normal armor stats. and
Heavy hitters: All monsters have the knockout ability.

So for this one I went with a familiar lineup as I always do when I have the chance to use earth cards.

For the summoner I went with the llama mage because of its last stand ability. For my cards I went with the Unicorn mustang as my first position card and the second position card was fungus fiend which doesn't attack in the second position but I went in for it to make up for space.

The third position card was goblin psychic for it's healing ability and its magic attack ability. Next in line was vena marksrat; a range card I select for it's martyr ability.

And then as usual my last stand card being Kron the undying. A very strong magic card with healing ability.

Let's rumble;

Well the game didn't start how I wanted it to start with my opponent going for the ambush against kron in the first round. It was his first move of the game and honestly if he had other cards that helped him attack kron it would have been over for me.

It was all fun for my opponent until my magic cards started to join in on the party. You know with the armored up ruleset my melee and range card were making no serious damage to the opponents health; only getting to it's shield.

In round 2 I was able to vanquish his first position card. On came his second position card into first position being a range card who couldn't attack. It served as a decoy as I had to kill it fast enough to be able to get to the opponents stronger cards.

I was able to vanquish it in round 3 with his djinn apprentice coming into position with boosted stats from the death of the rat. It had 3 magic attack and was making damage to my first position card. With a few hits from unicorn mustang I finished off it's shield and left it unprotected. It took a few seconds for kron to attack and finally vanquish it.

After this I was just trying to get his ambush cards into first position so it wouldn't get the chance to ambush my kron anymore.I did manage to accomplish the feet and bring the ambush card into the first position and with a few hits it was vanquished.

The next in line was hist last card which happens to be a magic card with low health. For this card Kron was able to vanquish it very easily to win me the match.

This game was a game of two different elements for me. With the addition of +2 amor I think it was a wrong choice for my opponent to go in for the lot of melee cards. It was the start of his downfall and my road to victory.
