Upgrading

What is good folks hope this post finds you well, been a rough day coming at y'all fairly late.

Anyway so I'm this one I will share about some computer upgrades, I been getting more into the dev game and not long ago got a old server I been putting to good use I also purchased a used computer from a friend to use for some AI stuff it was a great deal but the computer was fairly old, it was able to do some AI workloads, a lot better then my server could with no gpu.

It only has an 8gb graphics card and so it can only handle smaller language models and some basic image generation.

Well I hit up the used market amd scooped up a RTX 3090 2 generation behind but still was almost a 1000 bucks used but this bad boy got 24gb of ram so it can handle much larger models.

I was able to get it running and was happy with the performance boost and even generated some local videos, they came out alright but still fairly intensive and had some bottlenecks with ram and HD but outside of that the new card has been working great.

You would think that was the end of it but if you know the boy, you know I can't get enough once I get started.

So I actually bought a new server this one is a lot more hefty and modern I was messing with it a bit and that 3090 is going inside there while my sister is going to get my entire AI computer to my sister to use as a gaming computer and I'll make this new server my AI computer but more about ma beast later
