Hey, lovely people of #neoxian City, I hope you guys are doing amazing. I think it will be my first entry into Neoxian City: Writing Prompt, which is the 16th edition of such kind. the topic attracts me a lot as I have a memory that I can't forget ever, the memory is related to celebrating a birthday. As the memory belongs to the old times, I don't have any pictures, So I will use the images from the free sites or create them using AI.

Let's get started.
It was the time when we used to study in school, and used to get 5Rs as pocket money from our parents. If I think 5Rs pocket money at this time, it is not even enough to buy a toffee, but those were good times.
Everything was going well and on a lovely day at our school, I came to know that my best friend's birthday would be next week. We were three friends and I decided to discuss with my other friend how we should celebrate the birthday.
We didn't have money in the savings. It was a worrying situation, but it was only we who could think and find the solution to the problem, Three days were left for the birthday. We decided that we would not spend our pocket money for the coming 3 days.
By collecting our pocket money for the three days, we were successful together 30 Rupees, which was not enough to buy a cake and balloon. We were worried, and we were thinking what to do to celebrate our friend's birthday.

The Idea of buying a pastry for the birthday of our friend, came to my mind, What if we can't afford to buy a cake, we can afford to buy a pastry to celebrate our friend's birthday. At that period of time, life was not materialistic, and it was easy for us to find happiness in the little things, but today this thing has changed and now we need money to buy happiness.

We both went to the pastry shop near our house and bought a pastry and also some balloons and reached our friend's home. We wished him a birthday and presented him with the Pastry we bought for his birthday celebration. Believe me, the happiness we found on his face was unmatchable. It was not money that made him happy, it was the feeling that made all of us happy.
We sat in his room and Inflated the balloon we bought with the pastry, We also bought a candle, at that time, 30 was enough to spend a time that was full of memories, We bought pastry for 15 Rupees, 10 Rupees for the balloons and the rest of 5 Rupees was spent to buy a Candle.
He Cut the pastry and we celebrated one of the most unforgettable birthdays of our lives, which I still remember talking about with friends.

What a nice way to put a smile on a friend's face . That sounds so fun and memorable and I can imagine the feeling of your friend when you guys arrived with the pastry and balloons to mark his bday. As you both couldn't afford a cake, you went with what your money can afford which is nice. Sometimes, it doesn't matter how much you give to people but the intention of giving.. memorable celebration it was
