Some of the educated elites prefer to choose people who speak the same dialect as them or share their religion, there's absolutely no consideration as to whether these people will do well in governance. It's probably why we're still in the stone age.

That's too bad that people don't try to pick someone who can actually lead rather than religion or dialects. Then again here in the US many people blindly vote for a political party for no other reason than they always have and don't even understand what the party's underlying agenda is. I wish we had some stronger third parties here...
