Dear Hivers,
As the saying goes, “one man’s meat is another man’s poison”. It confirms that that we are individuals with different tastes and preferences and most times this extends to one’s culture. Trying unfamiliar or seemingly wierd foods, can introduce us to new delights for our palates and a whole new way of eating. On the other hand, the experience could be the antithesis - one that will never be repeated - since we love to enjoy our meals.
This month everyone was a winner. Thanks for your participation.

A Taste Of Bizarreness by @abenad
"What is this again? Why does this look weird. Wait, maybe that’s a thing in Nigeria? No I don’t think so. None of my Nigerian friends have ever spoken about this before. No, he can’t tell me this has something to do with his culture. Should I throw this away? Of course the only place it belongs is in the bin. Okay maybe I’m just exaggerating for nothing, let me try it again. Ewww, what is this…. , blarghh, I better throw this up”.
Strangely Delectable. by @bem999
I have eaten alot of meals, I've also eaten weird stuffs ,as in really strange meals. But as we all know, even amongst the weird, there is the weirdest. You wouldn't believe what I ate, sincerely I kind of feel weird even trying to say it but oh well it's actually food even if I'm not into it.I ate a jumping chicken, you're lost right, that's actually a nick name, it's original name is a frog
"Spaghetti Misadventures: A Lesson Learned the Hard Way" by @iamchuks
my roommate suggested to me that we should cook spaghetti and I already did, so I gave him the little cash I had and he got the stuff to cook the spaghetti and he went into the kitchen to start making it. While I was waiting for the food I first perceived the scent of palm oil and I was like what is going on here I had never heard or seen when palm oil was used to make spaghetti so I entered the kitchen to get answers from my roommate. When I entered the kitchen I asked him while he was using palm oil to cook and he responded that it would taste good and asked if I hadn't tried palm oil spaghetti and I responded that I had never even heard of it and said I had been missing a lot, and assured me the spaghetti will taste good.
The Strange and Unique Foods I've Encountered by @rosecane
Just like Momos, another food in trend is the Corndog. I heard about it for the first time and wanted to try it. They said it's a Korean dish. I searched on the internet and found that it is originally from the USA but is a popular street food in Korea. Sausage covered with cheese, potatoes, breadcrumbs, and I don’t know what else, deep-fried and then topped with some sauces. I went to try it, however, my brother was not interested in spoiling his taste buds. Well, the first bite said it all: very strange and weird taste. The combination didn’t work out well for me, or maybe they are not making it the right way
Not So Palatable For Me - Neoxian City Writing Prompt 17 by @luchyl
Although it's said that man shall not live by bread - food, alone but man actually need food to survive. I love food, no doubt and I always like trying out new recipes, food from other cultures and the rest.
The first time I tasted yam cooked with sugar, I couldn't believe my eyes. I was confused as confused can be, hehehe. That was the most weirdest of foods that I've ever tasted in my entire life.
