My Outlook For The Year

Happy new year everyone. I am happy that our amazing community keeps waxing strong as time progresses and also feel grateful and proud about our past accomplishments. The past year was filled with a melange of experiences for me, with some of them giving me a great sense of gratification and others not quite as much, as they rather served as lessons of events that should be prevented or avoided in the future. I greet you all once again and wish you a spectacular year ahead.

I like this month's prompt as it is a simple but thought-provoking question that requires us to share our goals, convictions, and concerns about events that we anticipate to take place during the course of the year. Personally, my expectations for this year is high and optimistic, as I strongly believe that with determination and commitment, I and anyone can accomplish the goals they have set for themselves. Despite having a positive outlook for the year, I am also anxious about certain issues that I feel will continue to pose as challenges if practical actions are not taken to address them. So, without further ado, I share an overview of my projections for the year below.

My primary goal for the year is to gain and maintain financial stability as I believe it is the catalyst that will transform most of my aspirations and goals into reality. I intend to secure a healthy financial status by constantly updating my knowledge and being decisive whenever I come across good financial opportunities. One of such opportunities which I plan to capitalise maximally is the upcoming "bull run" in the world of cryptocurrency. The bull run has proven over time to be the one of the most lucrative and conducive periods in cryptocurrency where its stakeholders get handsomely rewarded. I have also benefited from the opportunities of the bull run in the past and had my major financial breakthrough in cryptocurrency during its course. I hope to achieve such success this year too!

Secondly, I plan to become more active on the platform that I consider to be the best for social interaction, Hive! The impact that Hive has had on me is so profound and positive that I feel grateful to have discovered it in the past and became a member of its vibrant community. After carrying out an evaluation of my activities on Hive, I realised that I need to publish more engaging posts and to also expand my network of friends on the platform. Consequently, I will attempt to publish more content on the platform and meet new friends.

Thirdly, I intend to equip myself with new skills and make more time for my hobbies. The world is evolving at a fast pace with technology altering and enhancing the way we work and perform certain tasks. The innovation and efficiency that it provides has made it necessary for individuals to continously update their skills and knowledge or face the danger of possessing obsolete skills and being relegated to the background in the world of work. To avoid being in the latter category of people, I plan to consistently learn and acquire skills that will give me an edge in my field. Furthermore, I also intend to engage in my hobbies after realising that I have been neglecting activities that gives me pleasure. Taking this into account, I plan to go on more road trips and visit more places of interest.

Lastly, I hope the economic situation in Nigeria improves significantly this year. Most policies of the government such as the removal of subsidy on petrol, ban on the importation of some essential agricultural and consumer goods, devaluation of the local currency and many others have led to hyperinflation and hardship in the country. Many Nigerians, including myself, are struggling to live decently as we are constantly confronted with unfavourable economic challenges. These economic challenges have also led to an increase in crime in our society. In light of these negative developments, I hope the government understands that its primary responsibility is to serve its citizens well and not to make life difficult for them. Therefore, I hope it reviews some of its policies that are ineffective and makes an effort to restore the country on the path of economic progress and prosperity.
