My friend's family
lives in a high-rise apartment building,
so we went to see the fireworks display.
Speaking of fireworks displays,
I remember riding packed trains in the past,
watching the fireworks through gaps in the dense crowd,
then returning home exhausted.
From the high-rise apartment,
we could enjoy the fireworks
without any crowds.

高層住宅に住んでいるものだから
花火大会を見に行った
花火大会と言えば
昔大混雑した電車に乗って
大混雑の人混みのすき間から
花火を見て
くたびれて帰宅したものだ
高層住宅からは
混雑することもなく
花火を観賞できた
