The role of “experience” and “expertise” in cycling.

Good day everyone, I am delighted to write again for this community, it is a privilege I don't take for granted. So now back to our topic of discussion :

Experience is one of the things people rule out when cycling, forgetting that it plays a very significant role in cycling expeditions. A lot of people think that cycling is all about taking your bicycle and hitting the road and that nothing else matters. Everything matters in cycling. This is why I am of the opinion that learners or amateur riders should not use the road together with other road users because they can cause accidents that could claim their lives and others. It is very harmful to do so, I must say.

Therefore, as it is often said experience is the best teacher, it is necessary for a rider to be grounded with all the necessary information that will help him have a successful ride every time he hits the road or he's involved in a cycling competition. I am going to mention a few reasons why experience and expertise is important in cycling.

it reduces road accidents

Like I have said earlier, so many road accidents will be averted when an experienced and skilled person rides a bicycle. Most of the road accidents that involve cyclists are majorly caused by the inexperience of the rider. Some road accidents are avoidable while some are not, hence, it will require expertise to scale through avoidable accidents.

²

It enhances smooth rides

Seamless rides are enhanced by experts in the cycling field. You cannot have an orderly society where people obey traffic and road laws when the majority of road users are learners and amateurs. Expertise and professionalism play crucial roles in having orderliness and a free flow of traffic when using the road.

Amateurs do not win competitions

In a cycling competition, learners hardly and rarely win. Rather, those who have had the necessary experience in cycling competitions perform exceptionally well.

In all that you do, get experience because it will safe you out of many troubles

How can one attain expertise in cycling?

Attaining the level of expertise in cycling is as a result of the experiences you gathered over the years. The more time you spend cycling and training yourself, the more you gain experiences and your knowledge also widens in the process.

Thanks for stopping by.

Feedback from the April Hive Power Up Day

You get experience by cycling lot.
I don't know if it really avoids accidents.
Experienced riders often do go faster and might get overconfident.

Concentration is more important than experience when it comes to safety I think.
