criticism of the influence that music, parties and alcohol have on people

Maybe the artist has criticism to the influence of music, parties, alcohol and whatnot and humans some of us (humans) becoming animals because of it. Though I believe we humans need a step out of day-2-day realities to be able to deal with our normal lives. But music, parties, alcohol and any other forms of drugs can be so much more than that. Substances influencing our minds can teach us to become a better person. Music and parties can do the exact same thing. Sure, many may just become animals and seeking instant pleasure (what is wrong with that?). But others do not; I know that for a fact :) I happen to know more than a few people who use the combination of music, parties and drugs to become better people while they enjoy the moments at the same time :)
