Hola, Hive.
Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes este estupendo tema de uno de los grandes de la salsa en el mundo. Se trata del gran Héctor Lavoe, una estrella que, a pesar de que tuvo una vida tormentosa, no dejó de llevar alegría a los escenarios y es recordado como La Voz.
Mi Gente fue el octavo tema del Long Play titulado La Voz y fue lanzado en el año 1975 por la compañía Fania Records. El tema fue compuesto por Johnny Pacheco e interpretado por primera vez por la orquesta Fania All Stars y cantada por el puerto riqueño Héctor Lavoe.
En esta oportunidad presento a la Orquesta Sinfónica de Aragua en el concierto de celebración de su 29 aniversario, el cual se realizó en el Teatro de la Ópera de Maracay. La voz es de Oscar Godoy y tuve el inmenso honor de dirigir y escribir los arreglos para el evento. Espero lo disfruten.
Today I want to share with you this great theme from one of the greats of salsa in the world. It is about the great Héctor Lavoe, a star who, despite having a stormy life, did not stop bringing joy to the stages and is remembered as La Voz.
Mi Gente was the eighth song of Long Play entitled The Voice and was released in 1975 by Fania Records. The theme was composed by Johnny Pacheco and interpreted for the first time by the Fania All Stars and sung by the Puerto Rican Hector Lavoe.
On this occasion I present the Aragua Symphony Orchestra in the concert celebrating its 29th anniversary, which took place in the Maracay Opera House. The voice is of Oscar Godoy and I had the immense honor of directing and writing the arrangements for the event. I hope you enjoy it.

Hi, this video is actually mine. I am the chief conductor of the Aragua Symphony Orchestra (Venezuela) and I performed this concert in May 2019 for the celebration of the 29th anniversary of the group. As I said in the post, the musical arrangements are mine and I am the one conducting
