Another season and another leaderboard finish in Wild during Season 141 that ran from August 15 - August 31. I only managed Top50 for the minimum prize of 20,000 DEC in 29th place. Just four more places into 25th would have doubled my DEC prize. In Modern, I only managed to play 141 battles all season and my tournament play was inconsistent at best. Let's get into the details!

My modern record was quite strong in S141 as I kept a 60% win rate, but ultimately I fell just short of my goal to end the season in Modern Champion 2. I got within one win of Champion 2 at 3980 rating a few times down the stretch, but I just couldn't win that last match to break through. Frustrating for sure, but not the end of the world. I still had a great time enjoying the strategic battles.
On the other hand, this was the last full season that would allow players to use Vouchers to buy energy, so I took advantage of the profitable situation by playing nearly 1000 Wild battles. The bot won 495 of 965 battles for a 51.2% win rate. Geez, I thought my Wild collection was better than just a 51% win rate, but it looks like I must do a better job picking up some of those fringe cards that can be difference makers in narrow battle rulesets.

Again, my tournament results this season were pathetic! Out of 15 events showing in my tournament history, I only managed to submit lineups for 4 of them. Of those events, I only made Day 2 in one of them and ended up finishing with a 9 - 11 record under 50%.
My combined record in the 4 events I did play was 17 - 31. GROSS! At least I managed two 568 SPS finishes in lucrative Gold Foil events. By my accounting, I earned SPS from 3 of the 4 tournaments I submitted for, ending with a tournament total of 1238.8 SPS. This figure should be AT LEAST 5x higher.
If I had enough time to manage all of the Diamond and Gold invitationals plus the Gold Foil events from Silver League and up, I should be bringing in over 10K SPS each season. To maximize my earnings, I really need to do a better job of managing my daily Splinterlands time and attention.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.
As far as Glint is concerned, this was actually my most successful season. I earned over 1.5M Glint from my 581 ranked wins, with 495 of my wins in Wild. That means over 85% of my ranked rewards Glint came from Wild rather than modern. In total, I earned 1,565,001 Glint in S141.
MY SPS earnings were also notable with 8070 SPS in ranked rewards over the course of the season. Based on my 581 wins, I averaged just under 13.9 SPS per win. When considering my 1106 total battles, I earned around 7.3 SPS per battle.

I continue to earn a nice return from staking SPS, with my holdings now eclipsing 325K. Brawl rewards still remain over 1000 SPS / season in Tier 5, which typically includes three completed cycles. Land and license rewards round out my earned SPS, which eclipsed the 10K mark once again.
Adding in my meager 1238 SPS from tournaments this season leaves me with a total of 12219 SPS earned for S141. Based on the current spot price of USD 0.0076, I accumulated nearly $93 worth of SPS to my stack.
S141 was not one of my finer performances, as I was completely distracted by the start of the new school year and the new students in my 6th grade classes. It meant limited time focused on modern ranked play and very inconsistent tournament submissions.
On the other hand, this was the first full ranked rewards season with the new Rebellion reward cards, and they definitely refreshed the competitive strategy of Modern. I'm looking forward to adding more of these powerful new cards as I spend my Glint to unlock higher levels of these soulbound reward cards.
It will be interesting to see how players navigate the new ranked rewards landscape now that Vouchers can no longer be spent to buy energy. Will people spend DEC or Glint to buy more energy? Time will tell and I'll see you back here next season with my results.
