Hello everyone! How are you? Today I want to share a lovely experience I had last week. A fellow member of the Stray Kids fan club (one of my favorite K-pop bands) and I organized a small activity for the birthday of one of the band members, I.N. For these activities, the band members ask their fans to complete a mission, which is different each year (based on each member's preferences). The first to have a birthday is the maknae (in the K-pop world, this term refers to the youngest member of the group). Anyway, to celebrate his birthday, he asked us to eat strawberries or some kind of strawberry dessert, since his birthday falls during strawberry season 😊. The purpose of this is to see how many fans show their love with these simple acts, and in this way, keep them trending on social media. Many of these missions are also done in groups, which fosters unity within the fandom and allows us to meet new people.
¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una linda experiencia que tuve la semana pasada en la que una compañera del club de fans de Stray Kids (una de mis bandas de Kpop preferidas) y yo organizamos una pequeña actividad a propósito del cumpleaños de uno de los miembros de la banda, I.N. Para estas actividades los miembros de la banda le piden a sus fans que hagan una misión, la cual consiste en algo diferente cada año (según el gusto de cada miembro de la Boy Band). El primero en cumplir año es el maknae (en el mundo del Kpop este termino se usa para referirse al menor del grupo) En fin, para celebrar su cumpleaños él nos pidió comer fresas o algún postre con fresas, ya que su cumpleaños cae en temporada de esta fruta 😊. La finalidad de esto es ver cuántas fans demuestran su amor con estos simples actos, y de esta manera mantenerlos en tendencia en redes sociales. Además muchas de estas misiones se hacen en grupo, lo que fomenta la unión en el fandom y conocer nuevas personas.
Most of the girls in the fan club thought that since I.N's birthday was February 8th, they would all do the mission on the days they went to the movies to see the first four showings of the film (concert and band documentary). That day, I went out in the morning to run some errands, including picking up a t-shirt related to the song "Do It" that I had bought online, and strawberries for the I.N mission. I stayed on the moped while my sister @mairene1 did me the favor of going to buy them, and she almost didn't get any because by that time most of the strawberries had been sold. In the end, she got the last tray of strawberries at a remote fruit stand, and we continued with the errands.
La mayoría de las chicas del club de fans pensó que ya que el cumpleaños de I.N era el 8 de febrero, todas harían la misión los días de ir al cine a ver las primeras cuatro funciones de la película (concierto y documental de la banda). Ese día yo fui en la mañana a hacer varias diligencias, entre esas buscar una camiseta alusiva a la canción "Do it" que yo había comprado online, y las fresas para la misión de I.N. Yo me quedé en la bicimoto mientras mi hermana @mairene1 me hacía el favor de ir a comprarlas, y casi no las consigue porque para esa hora la mayoría de las fresas habían sido vendidas, al final ella consiguió la última bandeja de fresas en un puesto de frutas remoto y continuamos con las diligencias.
Then we went to my favorite merchandise store to find my Skzoo (a plushie related to the band Stray Kids) 😍. Each member of the band has a representative animal, so I went to get at least two of them, but guess what? They were almost sold out! There was only one left, and it was exactly I.N's Skzoo (the birthday boy) 😲 so I didn't think twice and bought it. I had it in my shopping basket like a precious treasure while my sister and I wandered around the store, because one of the saleswomen told me that all the other Skzoos sold out in a couple of days.
Luego fuimos a mi tienda de artículos preferida para buscar mi Skzoo (un peluche alusivo a la banda Stray Kids) 😍. Cada miembro de la banda tiene un animal representativo, así que yo fui a buscar al meno dos de ellos, pero adivinen quéeeee. Estaban casi agotados, solo quedaba uno y era exactamente el Skzoo de I.N (el chico del cumpleaños) 😲 así que no lo pensé dos veces y lo compré, lo tenía en mi cesta de compras como un preciado tesoro mientras mi hermana y yo recorríamos la tienda, porque una de las dependientas me dijo todos los demás Kzoo se agotaron en un par de días.
In the afternoon I went to the event (the movie screening) but my sister called me to tell me I'd left the banner and the strawberries at home 🤦♀. I wanted to die, so much effort for nothing.
Por la tarde me fui al evento (la proyección de la película) pero mi hermana me llamó para decirme que yo había dejado el banner y las fresas en casa 🤦♀. Me quería morir, tanto esfuerzo para nada.
But we'd figure out how to do the activity later. I arrived at the mall and started walking around, waiting for both my friend and the showtime. But she arrived right on time, so we decided to postpone the activity. We went into the theater and screamed like crazy during the concert parts of the film, and almost cried with nostalgia, empathy, and love during the documentary parts.
Pero más adelante nos las arreglaríamos para hacer la actividad. Llegué al centro comercial y empecé a recorrerlo para esperar tanto a mi amiga como la hora de la función, per ella llegó en la raya, justo a la hora para ver la función, así que la actividad la dejaríamos para después, en ese momento entramos al cine a gritar como locas en las partes de los conciertos de la proyección, y a casi llorar de nostalgia, empatía y amor en las partes documentales
After the show we had to think of something for the activity (since I had left the strawberries at home) so my friend and I decided to go to an ice cream shop called Mykonos and we bought frozen yogurt with lots of strawberry topping 😊 🤗 In this way we accomplished the mission, we took the corresponding photos and later we would share them with the fan club and the band.
Al salir de la función teníamos que pensar en algo para la actividad (ya que yo había dejado las fresas en casa) así que mi amiga y yo decidimos ir a una heladería que se llama Mykonos y compramos yogurt helado con mucho topping de fresas 😊 🤗 de esta manera cumplimos con la misión, nos sacamos las fotos correspondientes y posteriormente las compartiríamos con el club de fans y la banda.
When I got home I went to get my banner, my strawberries and my SkZoo to take more photos for the mission, which I plan to upload to social media to share with the band and especially with I.N on his birthday.
Al llegar a casa fui a buscar mi banner, mis fresas y mi SkZoo para tomarme más fotos para la misión, las cuales pienso subir a redes sociales para compartir con la banda y en especial con I.N el día de su cumpleaños.
