Greetings to everyone in the Daily Blog community! Today I'm joining you to share another day in the classroom. This time, I want to show you what our special class was like, which combined ballet and art. A very powerful artistic force! In addition to art, music, and sports workshops (volleyball, futsal, swimming), the school offers a ballet workshop. With that in mind, it occurred to me that we could use the ballet dancers as models for the art workshop students. I spoke with the teacher in charge, and she was enthusiastic about joining in, and I, of course, was happy to know that the students would be able to work with real models. And even more so, to work with the human figure with the grace that only dancers possess.

So, after a busy day, it was time for class. The students had to bring Kraft paper, which is brown, a bit fragile, has two sides (one shiny and one matte), and definitely works very well for drawing. In addition to graphite and white colored pencils, they have charcoal, but they tend to be less skilled with it, so it's much more effective to work with graphite pencils. Then the ballet dancers came in and offered us several basic positions. My students usually work with time to spare, so we set aside 5 minutes for each position, giving them enough time to work and preventing the dancer from getting too tired. For the last position, I did allocate 10 minutes so they could work on it a bit more thoroughly.

The main idea is to go from the general to the specific; that is, to use the first few minutes to make the general sketch (head, torso, limbs, the lines created and their direction) and then, in the last few minutes, add details (hands, feet, facial features—eyes, lips, nose, ears—hair), shadows/highlights, and final touches. I usually pause between exercises to check the children's progress, correct any mistakes, and point out what they should or might not be noticing. It was lovely to see them enjoying this activity, as they were certainly focused. After the ballet girls left, the boys were so excited that I decided to take advantage of that and have them be the models. Several of them really got into character and held the pose with pride. In the end, it was a rewarding and beautiful day. They'll remember it. That's all for now, thank you so much for stopping by.

It’s nice to see those kids look proud of their artwork. The ballerinas who served as a model for the kids’ craft look like they have a brighter future. Wishing the best to you and to the kids!
Greetings 🤗 That's right, although I think everyone in general has a great future ahead of them. They had fun and worked together. It was nice. Thanks for stopping by.
I would always want to enroll and learn a ballet lesson before but i wasn't able to achieve it! But looking at these lovely kids who are really willing to learn and at the same time enjoying is fun to see.
Greetings 🤗 I believe that there is no definitive age for dancing ballet, so you could probably give it a try. Yes, the children enjoyed both classes, it was very nice. Thank you, sir.
