Caminando por el jardín japonés descubrimos que ... // Walking through the Japanese garden, we discovered that...

Durante todo el año me gusta salir a pasear alrededor de la ciudad con mi novia, conocer nuevos sitios. Pero hay algunos lugares que ya los visitamos casi por costumbre y porque son especiales para nuestra relación.
En este contexto, como cada año, cada agosto tenemos una cita obligatoria y muy especial con mi novia: Visitar el Jardín Japonés de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

Throughout the year, I enjoy going for walks around the city with my girlfriend, discovering new places. But there are some places that we visit almost out of habit and because they are special to our relationship.
In this context, like every year, every August we have a mandatory and very special appointment with my girlfriend: Visiting the Japanese Garden of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

Ya podrás darte cuenta con solo mirar la imagen, que es un punto turístico muy importante en la ciudad. Es visitado por personas de todas partes del mundo durante todo el año. Obviamente es debido a su gran tamaño, su gran belleza y diversidad de vegetación traída desde este país tan lindo y lleno de cultura.
Es una buena opción económica si te gusta mucho la cultura japonesa como a nosotras pero no cuentas con el dinero suficiente como para visitar Japón. Hacer un viaje de ese presupuesto nos llevaría años de planificación, esfuerzo y trabajo por lo que por el momento podemos acceder a esta opción dentro de nuestra propia ciudad.

You can already tell just by looking at the picture that it's a very important tourist spot in the city. It's visited by people from all over the world throughout the year. Obviously, it's due to its large size, its great beauty, and the diversity of vegetation brought from this country so beautiful and full of culture.
It's a good economical option if you're really into Japanese culture like us but don't have enough money to visit Japan. Planning a trip with that budget would take us years of planning, effort, and work, so for now, we can access this option within our own city.

El haber elegido el mes de Agosto para visitarlo no fue al azar. Durante el mes de agosto/ septiembre es la época en la que florecen los 25 árboles de cerezo que hay en el jardín. Y es un espectáculo porque son demasiado hermosos. Es el único lugar en la ciudad de Buenos Aires en donde tenemos estos árboles por lo que es un gran acontecimiento verlos florecidos.
Pero ni nos imaginábamos lo que descubriríamos luego ..

Choosing the month of August to visit it wasn't random. During August/September is the time when the 25 cherry blossom trees in the garden bloom. And it's a spectacle because they are incredibly beautiful. It's the only place in the city of Buenos Aires where we have these trees, so it's a great event to see them in bloom.
But we couldn't even imagine what we would discover later...

Durante el paseo nosotras disfrutamos mucho verlos y recorrer los senderos del jardín que te llevaban a distintas partes. Una más linda que otra. Nos encanta el color rosa y sinceramente ver todo teñido de rosa nos puso muy felices y nos hizo sentir muy asombradas. Según vimos navegando en internet, en otros países también tienen jardines con ambientación japonesa por lo que estoy segura de que si no vivís en Argentina, también podrías buscar uno en tu ciudad para poder visitarlo y disfrutar de sus caminos tan bellos llenos de paz, tranquilidad y naturaleza.

During the stroll, we really enjoyed seeing them and walking through the garden paths that led to different areas. Each one more beautiful than the last. We love the color pink, and honestly, seeing everything tinged with pink made us very happy and amazed.
According to what we saw browsing the internet, in other countries they also have gardens with Japanese ambiance, so I'm sure that if you don't live in Argentina, you could also look for one in your city to visit and enjoy its beautiful paths filled with peace, tranquility, and nature.

Pero ya una vez ahí descubrimos que REALMENTE asiste muchísima gente todo el tiempo y eso hace que cueste mucho obtener lindas fotos del paisaje. Bueno, yo creo que eso es a gusto de cada uno porque yo prefiero las fotos en donde no se vea tanta gente para que se pueda apreciar todo el paisaje. Aunque también hay algunas fotos en las que queda bien que haya gente en ella. Es depende. Pero este paisaje ameritaba fotos sin personas.
Además de que tuvimos la mala suerte de cruzarnos con gente que no respetaba este espacio tan preciado para algunos, ocupando todo el camino y renegando al tener que darte el paso.

But once there, we discovered that A LOT of people really attend all the time, and that makes it very difficult to get nice photos of the landscape. Well, I think that's up to each person because I prefer photos where there aren't so many people so that you can appreciate the whole landscape. Although there are also some photos where it's fine to have people in them. It depends. But this landscape warranted photos without people.
Besides, we had the bad luck to come across people who didn't respect this precious space for some, occupying the entire path and complaining when they had to give way.

De todas formas, solo comento esto para que ustedes lo tengan en cuenta. Porque con lo que a nosotras respecta eso no nos impidió pasar una tarde hermosa. Solo es un detalle que les aclaro para que lo tengan en cuenta cuando lo visiten.
En esta última imagen, se observa de fondo lo que parece ser un templo. Allí dentro, hicieron una cafetería. Si bien sus precios son muy elevados para nosotros los residentes, el acceso es gratuito y una vez allí, se puede seguir disfrutando de las decoraciones japonesas. Como esta mini réplica del jardin:

Anyway, I'm just mentioning this so you guys are aware. Because as far as we're concerned, that didn't stop us from having a beautiful afternoon. It's just a detail I want to clarify so you can keep it in mind when you visit.
In this last picture, you can see what appears to be a temple in the background. Inside, they've set up a café. Although the prices are very high for us residents, access is free, and once inside, you can continue to enjoy the Japanese decorations. Like this mini replica of the garden:

Había una sección en donde la gente puede escribir sus deseos y se cree que, en cuanto se suelte, se cumple. Pasamos un largo rato leyendo los deseos que escribió la gente y encontramos uno que nos hizo sentir identificadas con el momento personal que estamos atravesando. "Deseo mejorar mi sueldo y tener estabilidad económica".

There was a section where people can write their wishes, and it's believed that as soon as it's released, it comes true. We spent a long time reading the wishes that people had written, and we found one that made us feel identified with the personal moment we are going through. "I wish to improve my salary and have economic stability."

Casi al final de nuestro recorrido, decidimos comprar una galleta de la suerte para guardar el mensaje de recuerdo y así inmortalizar este paseo que fue muy especial para nosotras. "Compartiendo alegrías ofreces gran esperanza a los demás".

Near the end of our tour, we decided to buy a fortune cookie to keep the message as a memento and thus immortalize this walk that was very special for us. "Sharing joy offers great hope to others."

Espero haber transmitido lo hermoso que fue este paseo para nosotras y que a través de las imágenes hayamos logrado capturar lo bello que es el jardín japonés de nuestra ciudad.

I hope I've conveyed how beautiful this walk was for us and that through the images, we've managed to capture the beauty of the Japanese garden in our city.
