Visiting Simala Shrine 2024

in Daily Blogyesterday
Good day, Hivenians! I hope you're fine while reading my blog today.

It has always been my tradition to visit the Simala Shrine at Sibonga, Cebu. It started after I graduated from college and could afford the fare for the travel. Even though my starting salary was at the minimum wage I tried to save up for the planned travel.

Last Tuesday, as I shared in my previous post that I, my husband, my mother, and my sister went to Cebu City. The main purpose was all about work and when we were done accomplishing our task. I decided to continue our trip to South, Cebu to visit Simala Shrine. They were fine about the travel. I chose to travel at that time for the reason that, my schedule was so tight this month. There are lots of upcoming events and even on weekends, we will have an appointment, and visiting the Simala Shrine would be difficult to do we can make time but at the end of the year, we would be exhausted since the schedule is packed.

We started traveling at 2 p.m. and my expectation was the travel time would be three hours we were expecting to arrive at 5 pm and it was still okay since the closing time of the Shrine is 6 pm.

Good thing that after we passed Cebu City, there was less traffic and we arrived before 5 p.m. We had still time to go to the altar, light a candle, and have a photo opportunity of the Simala Shrine.

There are lots of changes in the Shrine and the fountain that is shown above is newly constructed. I think it is used as a wishing fountain, maybe.

Before, as I remember, the comfort rooms were not free, now, as we visited last week, there are already public comfort rooms and it is not mandatory to pay, just a donation for the maintenance of the area.

After we did the necessary rituals in the Simala Shrine, we traveled back home and yes, when we started traveling back home, it was already evening.

We searched for some fast food along the road to get some dinner and we decided to have it at Jollibee Talisay I think.

When we had a stopover at Jollibee, we saw that there were lots of customers inside the store and we were too hungry if we waited for the long line. My husband decided to order at the drive-thru.

The funny thing was, since it would be difficult to find an area to have our dinner, we decided to eat our order at the parking lot of the Jollibee store. We successfully eat our dinner.

After that, we started traveling and from time to time, my husband made a short stop to take a little nap. It is advisable if you feel sleepy during the drive.

I was thankful that day because we arrived at our house safe and sound.

Thank you for reaching this far. If you want to inspire, learn, and witness beautiful scenery, experiences, and places, do not forget to follow, upvote, and reblog my post to support and motivate me to write more. Thank you.
