Four months have passed since I stopped, and I feel that I've missed many days to write things to update you on what happened in my life. I'm even struggling with how to start this blog. Writing has been my comfort zone since 2020, but I don't know if I can still distinguish it as comfort. I'm not writing right now to show how emotional I am, but I've been writing recently to show my intelligence and knowledge. But for now, let's forget about academic things. Let's focus on what I've missed in writing over the last four months.
2023 Holiday Vacation
Last December, we went to Baguio (the summer capital) and to the beach of Pangasinan with my relatives. It was also when we commemorated my mother's side reunion and welcomed another year on my father's side. Out of my four highlights during that month, I only wrote one of them. I aimed to write about my beach experience but had already lost interest. I don't know what happened to me, though.
Second Semester of Being A Second Year Marketing Student
Since I told myself I wanted to achieve the highest academic achievement, I promised to focus on academic excellence and temporarily dump my side hustles. I guess that I didn't regret my decision. I don't want to act like a hero in this blog, but I've been contemplating how I got high scores despite being an academic leader. It's worth sacrificing, right?
CMA Awards Day
Last Wednesday, I was so happy since my professor added me to a group chat with those students who made it to the non-academic achievers and academic achievers. After seeing that group chat, I couldn't help but share this good news with my pals and tell them I made it. I'm sure they witnessed how I suffered in crawling desperately to success. On the other hand, I didn't plan to tell my parents, but I didn't have a choice since I needed to invite my mom to the event. I'm so happy because they hailed me as one of the "Academic Achievers" among more than 150 marketing students around the university. Only three marketing students from the second year will get that award, and I'm glad I'm one of the three! A great flex, indeed!
Broken Phone
I wanted to write about this but was so busy with my final exam. While taking a bath, I forgot to put my phone somewhere so it wouldn't get wet. At first, I experienced a problem with my speaker, and I used a remedy where I would play music to get out of the water inside. It's good that it gets resolved, but when I turned it off, it started to get defects. It started first with a ghost touch until it reached the "purple screen of death."
As you can see in the picture, the screen is a little purple, and I thought it would go away alone. However, the pink tent gets wider and wider to the point that I can't even see the display. I don't plan to repair it because of my projected expenses, but I plan to buy another one.
Upskilling
There are many skills to upskill, like SEO, Video Editing, Photo Editing, Virtual Assistant, and more. However, I'm confident that Copywriting is the best skill for me to possess. One of the reasons I chose it is its marketing relevance. I'm a marketing student, and I swear I didn't have much trouble grasping the concepts. So far, I've already finished my portfolio, and I am trying to apply for the jobs at Upwork, where I know I can do so.
Conclusion
That's all just for today. I'm planning to write about CMA Awards Day, so stay tuned.
