What's up, Hivers! @makiyumee here and I am back with another blog! This time, I want to share to you my little celebration along with my friends at All Milktea in Medellin and this happened after the culmination program of our Arts Appreciation course.
It was a Saturday afternoon, and the sky was a bit gloomy, with gray clouds hovering above. Despite the weather, my classmates and I were busy preparing for our culmination program in our Arts Appreciation course. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a little nervousness as we made sure everything was ready. We arranged the chairs, set up the stage, and rehearsed our parts one last time. Everyone was eager to give their best performance.
A few minutes later, the program officially began. One by one, we stepped forward to showcase our talents. Some of us danced gracefully to lively music, while others sang beautifully, filling the room with their melodies. A few of my classmates acted out short skits, making us laugh and admire their creativity. It was inspiring to see how much effort and passion everyone put into their performances. Our teacher watched attentively, smiling, and clapping for each performance. It wasn’t a long program since the main goal was simply to share our talents and celebrate the beauty of art.
Even though it was brief, it felt meaningful because it gave us a chance to express ourselves and appreciate the different forms of art that we had learned about during the course. When the program ended, we all felt a sense of accomplishment and pride. It was a wonderful way to wrap up our journey in Arts Appreciation, and the experience brought us closer together as a class. Despite the gloomy weather outside, the room was filled with joy and creativity, making the day truly memorable. After the program ended, we all worked together to clean the room. We picked up the trash, rearranged the chairs, and made sure everything was neat and tidy. Once we finished cleaning, we got ready to leave.
Everyone changed out of their performance clothes into more comfortable outfits, and we started talking about how we wanted to celebrate completing one of the major projects for our final semester. Someone suggested that we go to All Milktea, and everyone agreed because a few of our friends were curious to try what was on their menu. This plan had been circulating around us for a couple of days and that day was the only time we had finally managed to agree with the plan and go to All Milktea. My friends really crave a lot of delicious foods these days and they always say that they deserve to eat something special and delicious after a tiring day. Before leaving, we decided to take some group pictures outside the room to capture the moment.
I don't know who initiated it but it was actually a pretty good call. We laughed and posed together, creating fun memories to remember this special day. After snapping a few photos, we gathered our things and started making our way to All Milktea. The thought of enjoying some cold drinks and spending time together made us all look forward to the evening even more. The tricycle ride to All Milktea wasn’t very long, and we enjoyed talking and laughing during the short trip.
When we arrived, we quickly made our way inside, excited to try the food and drinks. We looked at the menu for a while, pointing out the different flavors and snacks that caught our attention. After deciding what to order, we lined up, placed our orders, and then found a comfortable spot to sit together.
As we waited for our food and drinks to arrive, we started chatting about the culmination program earlier that day. We laughed as we remembered the funny moments during the performances and talked about how much fun we had showing our talents. The memories were still fresh in our minds, and it was hard not to keep bringing them up because they made us so happy. When our orders finally arrived, we couldn’t wait to dig in. The cold, sweet drinks and tasty snacks were just what we needed after a long day. As we ate and sipped on our milk tea, we continued our conversation, this time focusing on the performances of our classmates.
We shared which ones we liked the most and praised how talented everyone was. The atmosphere was light and full of laughter, and we felt relaxed as we enjoyed each other’s company. It was such a simple moment, but it felt special because we were celebrating not just the end of a project but also the bond we had as a class.
This little gathering became a memory we would cherish for a long time. Throughout the meal, I couldn’t help but enjoy and appreciate the food and drink that I ordered. I chose All Milktea’s Tuna Pasta—if I remembered the name correctly—and paired it with their Taro Frappe. Both were so delicious, and every bite and sip felt like the perfect treat after a busy and exciting day.
The pasta was creamy and flavorful, and the Taro Frappe was sweet, cold, and refreshing, exactly what I needed to relax and unwind. As I ate, I thought about how important it is to reward ourselves every now and then. After all the effort I put into preparing and performing for our final Arts Appreciation task, this meal felt like a small but meaningful way to celebrate my hard work. Rewards like this don’t have to be big or fancy, but they remind us to appreciate ourselves and the things we’ve accomplished.
Taking time to enjoy these little moments helps us stay motivated and encourages us to keep doing our best every day. Whether it’s a tasty meal, a favorite drink, or a simple treat, these rewards give us something to look forward to after working hard. That day, my Tuna Pasta and Taro Frappe became more than just food—they became a symbol and remembrance of all the effort and dedication I had poured into our final performance task in our course in Arts Appreciation. It made me feel proud and grateful, and I promised myself to keep giving my best in everything I do.
That would be all for today and I hope that you had fun reading this blog. I'll see you all on the next one!
