Hola, Queridos Hivers!

Les cuento que he pasado estos dos primeros meses del año estrenando pasatiempo!!

Cuando tenía 12 años, me interesé por el crochet. En esa época estaba viendo una de las series de Disney: "Gravity Falls", en donde una de las protagonistas tejía sus propios suéteres, y al recordar que una de las amigas de mi mamá hacía hermosos detallitos usando la técnica de crochet (que no es igual a tejer, pero es algo parecida), se me prendió el bombillo. Le pedí que me enseñara, a ver si yo también podría en algún momento tejer mis propias prendas.

Con ella aprendí lo básico: cómo hacer la cadenita, cómo seguirla a lo ancho, y así sucesivamente. Pero no llegué muy lejos. Me aburrí y guardé mis agujas en un cajón del que no salieron por mucho tiempo.

Hace poco mi mamá me expresó su deseo de aprender a hacer alguna manualidad para distraerse en su tiempo libre. Viendo videos nos topamos con el crochet, y al recordar que sabía algunas cosas, me ofrecí a enseñarle. Así que pocos días después compramos unos hilos, y en el viaje que hicimos a Cumaná, mis agujas salieron del cajón y se vinieron a conocer Caracas.

Yo entusiasmada empecé de una! Le iba explicando a mi mamá pero ya ella no parecía tan interesada. Sin embargo, eso no me detuvo.

Con ayuda de videos tutoriales en pinterest e imagenes de prendas hermosas hechas a crochet, me inspiré y aprendí a hacer flores, corazones, y mucho más!!

Me antojé de hacer un top, así que busqué un tutorial, y lo logré!

Luego mi mamá me pidió un gorro, y también logré hacerlo!

---

Estoy en proceso de hacer un lindo top de flores blancas...

---

Y tengo muchos proyectos más pendientes!!
Esto del crochet me parece una manera fantástica de pasar el tiempo. Y bueno, quién pensaría que al final sí podría hacer mis propias prendas? Supongo que es verdad que el que persevera alcanza! 💪🏼

I'll tell you that I've spent these first two months of the year trying out a hobby!!

When I was 12 years old I became interested in crochet. At that time I was watching one of the Disney series: "Gravity Falls", where one of the main characters knitted her own sweaters. Then, I remembered that one of my mom's friends made beautiful little details using the crochet technique (which is not the same as knitting). The light bulb turned on in my head, and I asked her to teach me. I wanted to see if I could also knit my own clothes at some point.

With her I learned the basics: how to make the chain, how to follow it across, and so on. But I didn't get very far. I got bored and I put my needles away in a drawer where they stayed for a long time.

Recently, my mom expressed her desire to learn how to do some crafts to entertain herself in her free time. Watching videos we came across crochet. I remembered that I knew some things, so I offered to teach her. A few days later, we bought some yarn, and on the trip we made to Cumaná, my needles came out of the drawer and came to see Caracas.

I was excited and started right away! I tried teaching my mom but she didn't seem that interested anymore. However, that didn't stop me.

With the help of tutorial videos on Pinterest and images of beautiful crochet clothes, I got inspired and learned how to make flowers, hearts, and much more!!

I wanted to make a top, so I looked for a tutorial, and I did it!

Then my mom asked me for a knit cap, and I managed to make it too!

---

I'm in the process of making a cute white flower top...

And I have many more pending!!
This crochet thing seems like a fantastic way to spend time. And well, who would have thought that in the end I would be able to make my own clothes? I guess it's true that perseverance is success! 💪🏼

I will be showing you little by little my next projects!
