Siguiendo con las cosas que hice a lo largo del semestre, hoy quiero enseñarles un poco de lo que fue nuestro pequeño proyecto del ají🌶️ para la materia Metodología de la Investigación y cómo pese a muchos problemas que tuvimos a lo largo del camino, logramos resolver.

Continuing with the things I did throughout the semester, today I want to show you a little of what our little chili project🌶️ for the subject Research Methodology and how despite many problems we had along the way, we managed to solve.
Los pongo un poco en contexto, estudio Ingeniería en alimentos, apenas empezando y calentando motores. Creo que todos sabemos de qué trata la materia Metodología de la investigación, es una base para lo que sería nuestra tesis o proyecto de grado, que ahora es cuando falta, pero es importante ir conociendo cómo empezar al menos.
Bueno, qué puedo decirles😂, toda la materia fue un relajo hasta que llegó el momento de realizar un pequeño proyecto y exponerlo, en nuestro caso, escogimos el cultivo del Ají (Capsicum Chinense) y trabajar en base a eso.
Let me put it in context, I am studying food engineering, just starting and warming up. I think we all know what the subject Research Methodology is about, it is a basis for what would be our thesis or degree project, which is now when it is missing, but it is important to know how to start at least.
Well, what can I tell you😂, the whole subject was relaxing until it was time to do a small project and expose it, in our case, we chose the cultivation of chili (Capsicum chinense) and worked based on that.
Escogimos este cultivo porque mi hermano mayor estudia Ing. Agronómica y tenía algunas investigaciones que nos ayudaron mucho con todo, nuestra decisión fue realizar una salsa artesanal de ají dulce y compararla con una industrializada.
We chose this crop because my older brother studies Agronomy Engineering and had some research that helped us a lot with everything, we decided to make an artisanal sweet bell pepper sauce and compare it with an industrialized one.
Eramos mis 3 compañeros de grupo, Gabriel, Robert, mi amiga Paola y yo contra el mundo. Nos encargamos de todo, escribir, imprimir el trabajo, hacer las diapositivas, contratar al chico del vídeo beam para la presentación, también hicimos un tríptico con mucho color e información del ají y como toque final le llevamos los productos hechos a la profesora.
There were my 3 group mates, Gabriel, Robert, my friend Paola and me against the world. We took care of everything, writing, printing the work, making the slides, and hiring the video beam guy for the presentation, we also made a triptych with lots of color and information about the chili bell pepper and as a final touch, we took the products to the teacher.
Debo decir que, aunque no es fácil trabajar en grupo y ponerse de acuerdo, llegó un punto en el que mi paciencia estaba al borde y casi me convierto en un dictador malévolo jaja, al final todo salió muy bien y la profesora nos felicitó por haber hecho un excelente trabajo.
Cada uno expuso su parte muy bien, explicando el paso a paso de lo que hicimos y fuimos capaces de responder toda la ronda de preguntas.
I must say that, although it is not easy to work in a group and agree, there came a point where my patience was on the edge and I almost became a malevolent dictator haha, in the end, everything went very well and the teacher congratulated us for having done an excellent job.
Everyone exposed their part very well, explaining step by step what we did and we were able to answer the whole round of questions.
Al terminar la profesora nos dijo que quería exponer esto en un evento futuro de la universidad, así que eso nos halagó.
Fue toda una aventura esta materia, algo estresante y nos enseñó a trabajar en equipo, aunque no fue de mis favoritas, estoy agradecida por todo el conocimiento y por mis compañeros.

In the end, the teacher told us that she wanted to present this at a future university event, so we were flattered.
It was quite an adventure this subject, somewhat stressful and it taught us to work as a team, although it was not one of my favorites, I am grateful for all the knowledge and for my classmates.
