Most of the people in this place call themselves hippies, but in reality they are just a bunch of alcoholic, drug addict people.
In the recent past they wrote the sign below, and they put it beside the entrance of the community place.

The problem with this sign is that they have not really created anything in almost the entire previous year.
They promised a working refrigerator/freezer for the summer of 2024 (they planned improvements on the solar power system).
They even asked money for it.
There was a short time, when a refrigerator/freezer actually worked in the daylight, but shortly after that they shut it down completely, and then often we could not even charge the batteries of our smartphones.
Nowadays we are in the February of 2025, and we still do not have a working refrigerator/freezer.
They could not even maintain the community van (Nissan Vanette Cargo) either.
Most people in this place would like to take out of the place whatever they can, instead of cooperating and working together.
At least nowadays we can charge the batteries of our smartphones.
There is no real progress in this place.
What they (most of them) do is mostly party, entertainment only, and arguing, fighting.
They even steal.
Both from each other, and from other places too, for example various things from the stores, water (and maybe other things too) from the church, etc.
Most of them are either alcoholic or drug addicts, or both.
They regularly take weed/cannabis/marijuana, MDMA, ketamin, amfetamin, cocaine, LSD, and who knows what else.
They take various drugs, and sometimes medication too (various pills).
Sometimes they mix these three (alcohol, drugs, medication).
They are ruining themselves.
Some of them say that the drugs make the world colorful. With the drugs, they see and experience things, which they could not without the drugs, and without the drugs, the world is empty and boring.
This is not the kind of magic I would like to see, hear or know and experience in any way.
This community is 11 years old.
This year it will be 12 years old.
Many things in this community were much better in the past, but nowadays apparently it is getting worse and worse.
They are really going down on a downhill.
Reading this (if anyone even actually read this), probably not a big surprise that I would like to move to live in another place.
I'm sorry the community is devolving. This is so often the case with these kinds of alternative communities. Do you have any ideas for other places to go?
I have not been in other cave/tent living communities so far, so currently I do not have much experience in this lifestyle, but other people also wrote this to me in the past.

Currently I have only ideas.
I already spent almost two years in this place, and currently it looks like that probably I will spend additional long months in this place.

Currently I am not considering joining another cave/tent living community.
I would rather create a more human, more civilized way of life for myself.
For example a caravan (which would need a plot for a proper install) (to have proper electricity and also proper tap water).
But of course I am open to any other good solution.
I am continuously looking for the possible good solutions.

Maybe you need to search for caravan communities? 🤔
There is a caravan park near El Médano (one of the nearest cities), but this is not that simple.
In addition to the fact that the caravans are very expensive on Tenerife (they are starting from around €2500 Euro), in order to buy a caravan on Tenerife, I need to have an official local home address.
And if I would like to transport a caravan from outside of the island, the ferry ticket is expensive (around €500 Euro), and with a foreign license plate, the caravan (and the cars in general) officially can stay only six months on the island (or at least this is what I heard about it so far).
