Hive-reachout initiative week 48. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.( My favorite quote)

in Hive Reachout5 days ago (edited)

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. This is a very simple but powerful quote that has been my rock for years now. Having something to fall back on when you need help is very important in our lives as humans because we will always have problems here and there.

I had to make a little research to know who said this first because I have been using the quote for a long time now without knowing the person who said it first.

This is what I discovered 👇
"When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
used to say that when there are problems, strong people work hard to solve them. This saying is attributed both to Joseph P. Kennedy (1888-1969), father of the USA President John F. Kennedy and to Norwegian-born American football player and coach Knute Rockne (1888-1931). 👈 And This is also the source

It is very clear that the person that said this meant to use it to encourage people who are going through a tough time in the life and have become somehow discouraged about life. People go through different difficult situations in life and I have known this by experience that it is only when you refuse to give up that you will see your victory at the end of the battle.

I became too addicted to this quote because of the many troubles of life I have come across and this quote has been my help. It has helped me push on even when it seems as if everyone is giving up on me. I have never allowed any challenge that I face in life to push me down because I know that when the going gets tough, the tough gets going. I have also decided to become tough for tough situations. This is how I have survived all my life. And one funny thing about life is that when you think that you have overcome this particular situation another shows face and the battle continues. That is the reason why this particular quote has always been by my side.

A TYPICAL EXAMPLE OF A TOUGH SITUATION

I have had a number of troubles in my life that was meant to break me and keep me down forever. But let me share this particular one. It happened in the year 2014. On Sunday night to be precise. I was going to write my mathematics examination on Monday morning and Sunday night while we were asleep, thieves came into our house and took away almost everything that I woke with in my computer business center. They went away with my laptop, cameras and also carried my husband's motorcycle that helps him move around the city to do his work as a camera man. That incident left us jobless because both mine and his was all taken away. We have literally nothing doing after the incident. The following day which was Monday I went to the Exams hall to write my mathematics with tears running down my check uncontrollably. I had no idea what I was going to write because the problem at home has so affecting me that I can't remember anything that I read for the examination.

I took courage in the word of God and believe in this quote that says when the going gets tough the tough gets going. I wrote the exams that day. It really affected me and I didn't make my mathematics. Apart from mathematics I made all my paper.

I want people all over the world to know that when you pass through a challenge, that is not the end of your life. You can still make it in life.

This is actually a strong quote is just more like the saying tough times don't last but tough people do

Our challenges and troubles shouldn't be the end of us, but hurdles to overcome. That's a very powerful quote. These quotes should mean more than words to us, but definitive actions as well.

We can't predict how life will go for us but quotes like this are there to remind us . That hard times requires hardness from one.. indeed when the going gets tough the tough gets going

Oh yes. Challenges are pathway to greatness in disguise. Thanks for sharing

Seriously, life is not easy and not everyone has the ability to keep going when the winds of affliction keeps hitting hard on them. Sorry about your experience in 2014, I am glad you stayed strong and pushed through.

I think I have gotten a new quote to rock too.

Thanks for sharing ma

Hmmm! I love the sound of that.
Thanks for coming over

Same with this saying, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Thank God no life was lost. I hope you and your husband are both back to your feet now. And congratulations for staying strong.

Our challenge doesn't mean we should limit our potentials when the weight is too much, one has to keep pushing.
