NEW YEAR RESOLUTION, 2025

in Hive Reachout3 days ago

I never fail to mention to anyone who asks that I am not one to make goals towards the end of the year because it's like a ritual with a resolution fever thing going on or because everyone else is.
I make goals every time and at any moment that I feel a need to. Most of the time, I make my goals when it's my birthday. It works well for me that way.

Before the start or the year, I already laid out what I want to achieve at different times in the year and also by the end of the year as regards different areas of my life.
There are only a few that I can share on here, the others, I can not, and I'm sure that you may understand why. So, some of them are;

As concerns my studies

I flopped a little(a whole lot, in my opinion) in my academics. I tried, but it could have been better. I think the best thing that happened in this regard was learning what works for me and their applications and knowing my strengths and no-gos. So, I plan to put some more effort into getting my CGPA really up there. The marks to attain are known to me. I really just want to be consistent with studying.

As concerns finance

This past year, I made four times what I had set out to get. I'm great with finance, I tell you. The only area that I don't quite get and which I haven't ventured into yet is investments and getting insurances. I'm reading up and learning what I have to about them, and I do hope to seek a professional's help and advice if I'm unable to do it myself.

Here on HIVE

Just yesterday, I shared my Hive Goals 2025. I shared there that my goals for my journey on this platform, this year, are to increase my Hive power by posting more and powering up, engaging well in the communities that I partake in and some and also by saving my HBD rather than just letting them lay there(if you get what I mean).

There are still a lot of others. Some like reading more books, not necessarily academic books or materials. I don't know what's happening with that bit of me, and I'm not going to succumb to that laziness. So yeah, no pressures, but I'm getting back to reading.

Also, I plan to go out more. I'm very much a homebody. Prior to yesterday, the last time I ever went to somewhere nice was about four years ago. It's home to school and school back home. I never complain, I never get bored. It's how I grew up, so it feels normal, but I want to try something different. Yesterday was me 'doing different,' and it wasn't so bad.

Every goal that I have set out to achieve is important, but I bet you that there are more far weightier ones than these ones outlined. The ones I never really voice. I'm used to achieving things that way.

At the moment, I'm glad that the foundation for achieving a number of these goals is already built. I just hope I'm able to stay consistent and, very importantly, disciplined and also to be better and farther up.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Wow,this is nice and show's you really worked hard on achieving your goals.

I try.
Thank you so much.

While we plan on achieving some things and they don't work out it will be nice for us if we try to look at the ones we have achieved and find solace in them. You couldn't achieve some goals but you really did well in achieving some and it should set the bedrock for your decisions this time I guess.
And yeah, it's good to try and go out at least once a while, you never can tell who you might meet or what you might come across.
Hope you get to achieve your goals this year. Happy New Year!

You're right.
I'm grateful for how far I have come. And for ths things which I did not achieve, I have taken lessons from why they did not cone to be. Those lessons would be instrumental to my making better decisions and tackling certain goals.

Thank you for the kind words.
Have a pleasant year!

Yeah, that's the spirit.

You're welcome.
Thank you!
