Smart - But I was smarter

Growing up I always heard how exciting the whole high school experience was, it was colored as a safe space where kids metamorph into young adults and groomed for both life and the unknown.
Thinking back I was really looking forward to it, I was no longer that little boy with the scared look on his face, I was about to make new friends and ready to start off a new phase in my life . All that changed the day Smart enrolled in intelligentsia Educational Academy ( a really long name I know🤣🤣🤣). Smart was the biggest boy in school right from year 1, he was tall, buff like he had worked out since birth, had a menacing aura and his voice was more than enough to put you in a frenzy.

I don't really know how I caught his attention but my nightmare started the day I kept asking and answering questions in a literature class and he was constantly flunking. After school, he waited for me on a lonely ally, snuck up on me and gave quite a beating. After my "heavenly punishment" as he calls it, he said to me:
"Emmanuel from today you have become my personal dog. You must copy and make notes for every subject in class, make sure that all my assignments are done and assist me in every tests and pop quiz or else you won't have to die to experience hell".
That was the beginning of my servitude. I was practically his slave, he took money from me , beat me up for no good reason even when all his conditions are met, bullied me at every chance he gets and being the smallest kid in class kept me at a huge disadvantage. It got so bad that I was even scared to socialize with the rest of my class mates, I was practically a shell of my past self untill I reached my breaking point and decided to do something about it.

It was a Friday morning and as usual I was supposed to submit his assignment and notes for marking which I did not. He was disciplined for it and I gave out a satisfying laugh which annoyed him even more, spelling out my doom but I was ready for it. There was no use hiding from him, he sought me out and I was waiting for him. Immediately I saw him I did not hesitate to attack first, I used every weapon I had in my arsenal including tooth and fingernails and still lost but I had sworn to never let him win again. From that day, Smart never found peace I would attack him at every chance I get even when I knew I had no chance of winning. He would beat me up but he was not getting out of the encounter unscathed. This continued for weeks until Smart broke, he literally begged me to leave him alone and he would never bother me again which I agreed to on the condition that he quits bullying completely.
We ended the term as very good friends and till this day we still laugh about the whole experience.
