.Hello everyone.Am quin Lizzy and in this week topic: confidence and self esteem,I will be telling you about how this has helped me a long way in life.Ofcourse confidence is an attribute every human person should not lack in order to be successful in life and the hive reachout has really brought an interesting topic.
Confidence to me means to be able to believe in your self, it's synonymical with self esteem.I will be using my own story to explain this topic.As a growing child academics was indeed inevitable as my Dad strongly believe that education is indeed the key of all keys.
The journey has not been easy all through but my high self esteem has really kept me going and believing in myself.After passing through the junior second school to the senior secondary school,it was indeed a competitive one but I kept pushing cause I believe in myself not because i was hardworking but cause I trusted in my God.I call him my confidence and he really does not fail.
The time came when my self worth will be tested, from all the years I spent studying in my secondary school that is my SSCE and JAMB.Every man has fear but succumbing to this fear is not worth it.I started preparing, practicing, studying answering past questions, going through sleepless night and waiting for the due date.Most of the final year student looked for other alternative to scoring A's without putting in the hardwork.But as an Anglican school we believe in no examination malpractice cause that is not acceptable.The key ofcourse in doing this on your own entails believe in yourself(self esteem) and putting in the hardwork.I could remember vividly in the year 2023 by February we were already planning towards our exam.
We had extra lessons for our core main science subject that is chemistry, physics biology and mathematics.We,my classmates studied both the theory and practical aspect.We were confidence in our self and we new that that was want we wanted.As time moved on we were approaching that period where our confidence was to be tested.But before I continue I would want you to know that courage is not a one day thing.It starts from the way we take decision and percieve things personally.Just like me passing through my secondary school,my teachers and parents made me believe that with God all things are possible and being the best takes alot of courage and hardwork.
My secondary school is really a one of it's kind.St.peters secondary does not just teach you about academics but build you both physically and spiritually.Since when I was in my junior class the build a system where our self esteem is high.The created a system where the set exam questions base on external exams and award marks base on the marking scheme.Ofcourse when I was going to write my external exams it should not be a big deal any longer.
I was already use to the system and it was June already.My first subject during my WAEC was a practical course biology,it was my first time but cause I was already subjected under such condition,my self esteem has already grown so I was confidence and I wrote my practical believing in my self and answering my question with confidence that it was the right thing I was doing.I truly believe that my confidence comes from God and him alone.After that first step I completed my other papers and came out with flying colours including my JAMB result as a whole.Am now admitted in fulafia, Although that isn't the end of the road.I just want you to understand that having confidence in your self will always go a long way.
If I was not courageous enough I would not have sat for my examination and writen it on my own.This act might look little but it has been so helpful to me in realizing my capabilities and not giving the chance for any one to look down on me.Confidence indeed is a great deal and I would advice everyone to grow this characteristics ofcourse you someone would not believe in you unless you believe in yourself that's having high self esteem knowing your worth and having confidence in yourself.I appreciate you for visiting my blog.I invite @jimmydrum,@jaybnb and@ amankalu2.
